1. DOH! just realised I put this in the wrong forum........ Mods????
 2. Really really really really really don't want to do this but.......... my back cannot take another season of lugging this gear so will have to go down the lightweight route So I am looking to sell or trade this rig.... I've had it for a about a year.... I'm the 2nd owner. Has been serviced and PAT tested regularly. No problems to report. Not in too dire state but expect the usual wear from a main gig rig. Dodgy pic below to give you the idea but will try and get much better photo's up at some point this week. £750 sale or will look at lightweight rigs such as Markbass, Aguillar or what have you..... let me know. You can come and try before you buy/trade, I'm in Essex (Wickford) Jay
 3. Is that 19mm spacing...... looks like it?

 5.
Practice rooms never really make much money.
+100 there is a definite lack of them..... but as stated above.... your never gonna make a decent living renting out space to musicians...
 6.
They went the same way as Soundcontrol,at around the same time
Turnkey was part of Sound control....... Turnkey is now owned by PMT, along with some of the old Sound control branches.... this will become part of their on-line portfolio.
 7.
Students have just got their grants so may it not be too bad a time right now
Yes.... I hear Cider sales are going through the roof!!

 10. I may join you.... the prices look good - Bonners link
 11.
What a disapointment. On the other hand I suppose they have got to try to make them look different, They will want to estsblish a 'brand' and it might take a while to get used to it.. Personally [ducks head] I think Mark Bass looks awfull, although Im getting a bit more used to it, but they seem to be doing ok.
I think the Wharfedale brand is very firmly established here in England.... having been around for over 70 years!! What will happen is you will start to see these products popping up all over the place. If the quality of them is as good as their pro-audio products then they will be extremely good value for money and decently built. Having been at the main factory in China on several occasions I can honestly say the QC would be impeccable.
 12. Seems the product listing is up.... interesting though look far to far-eastern looking I think. They've also gone back to using the original Logo on these - Whafedale
 13. Check out some of these.... looks great.... especially liking the sound of the digital pedals with usb action - NAMM News
 14.
I would assume so too. But running one successful business gives you bonus points with the bank. A spot-on business plan and watertight research is probably also essential right now. Maybe, as you said, he would need to personally guarantee the loan - thats between him and the bank to decide. I don't know if the banks would even consider a music shop at all at the moment - maybe too much competition for them to feel comfortable. And I'm not saying getting money is easy, far far from it. But there is money out there - for the right people. Unfortunately I'm not one of them. All I'm saying is that if you're someone who can get it, now might be a decent time as property is cheaper and interest rates are lower.
Especially if it's the Bank of Scotland...... (I can hear ex Sound control staff whincing...)
 15. As someone who has worked in the MI industry for a number of years..... I'd put your money elsewhere.... honestly.
 16.
Don't mean to offend, but Warwick are long past their best IME. They made their name in the late eighties (when everyone was playing them), especially with the original Thumb - which really was exceptional. The Rockbass thing really devalued them as a brand. Now they just sound and feel clunky and dead. I've tried about ten over the past two years (including two of their Custom Shop ones) and they've all been extremely disappointing. I'd rather have a Sadowsky, In fact I'd rather have a Jap Jazz. More responsosive, better neck and about a third of the price.
Not like Fender you mean....
 17.
Status.
+1 here
 18. I don't think it's expensive when you compare it with the competition and the features you get..... good price I think.
 19. Yes but this is for Existing legislation..... not future..
 20. Yeah I love these guys..... check this out too - Here check out the bass solo/scat from about 2:20.....
