Yeah, funnily enough I went straight over there for a look (hadn't thought before) and stuck a bid on! Are you thinking of getting rid of odd issues or are you keeping the guitarist mags together? I might be interested in ones I haven't got (although might prove to much £££ to mail?)
As you are an "unknown" location, I couldn't hazard a guess for postage. I would obviously like to sell as a separates or whole collection ie: Guitarist mags/Bassist etc. but I guess time will tell how they all go. Keep posted. cheers
you selling mags individually or just as a whole lot? A long shot - do you know if any of the guitarist mags have a review of the Ibanez BSB guitar? I have a LOT of old mags but I missed that one and it's one I really want!
Hmmm, couldn't tell you that. Any more info you have? Date, named artist that edition?

Pictures attached. ( August 5th update... some individual USA Bass Player mags now sold off, hopefully I've edited the list correctly). USA Bass Player mags from Spring 1990 to 2006 Guitarist magazines from Feb 89 to Nov 1994 and some extra odd ones along the way. I have a whole lotta mags in pretty good nick that I'd like to clear away folks. Can't figure on a price so a fair offer is acceptable (plus postage if needed). Some of these can be found on Ebay at £6+ per copy. PLEASE NOTE ... not every monthly copy is in each collection.

Gillento was a pleasure to deal with all the way through comms and collecting the Aguilars from me in Luxembourg. How lucky was that! Great stuff, thanks.

The man from Devon kept good comms. all the way so it was a pleasure to hear the Aguilar 112 survived the courier's trip. Nice one and thanks.

Shure mics
mybass replied to dangerboy's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Here are three mics that have become redundant for my recording purposes. So now they can join you! All tested and working well. SM58 - the classic vocal mic. With a brand-new grill and foam. Minor scratches and a sticker mark on the body. £40 shipped SM57 - point this at anything in the studio to get a decent recording. A classic for guitars and snare. Also makes a surprisingly good vocal mic for some vocalists. Very good nick. Comes with a Shure pouch. £50 shipped Beta 57a - the luxury version of the 57, with a windshield and a tighter response pattern. Excellent condition with pouch and original box. £60 shipped. £5 discount if you buy two. £10 off if you buy all three.
PM'd you. -

Gillento from Luxembourg wants these. The lucky thing is, I'm playing there next week so he gets free delivery, what lucky bassists we are. BOTH SOLD ... thank you all for the enquiries. £500 price for both ... I have 2 Aguilar GS112 cabs for sale, ( the ones with the horn). I used them for a handful of gigs and a few duo gigs with one cabinet. I got into Mark Bass about the same time I got these, these were storedin a f/case in the garage. One cabinet has a very small ciggy burn mark (courtesy of a guitarist!) but it isn't an eyesore. I'm based on the Surrey/Hants border off the A3 area. I don't seem to be able to upload pics today into Basschat but I'll try again (new computer may be confusing me!) ps looks like pics uploaded. Possibility is arising to sell the cabs as single units... ONE HAS NOW BEEN PAID FOR THE OTHER ON HOLD AWAITING PAYMENT .
Has anyone ever had a double bass refinished? I have a bass which I don't really like the colour of and wondered if it's possible to refinish in a darker colour, remove the shiny look of it and therefore improve my quality of life. Any thoughts or idea of costs? Steve
Possibly hundreds to have a proper double bass repairer redo it with a new darker finish. They should give you a quote though which will help you decide.
