1. Bump for price reduction £90 + Carriage
2. Out of interest, would this fit a fender 5 string body? or warmoth equivilent? Probably not as the string spacing is quite a bit wider than any Fender 5 I have tried. Also it is for 35" scale and Fenders are 34". I'm not selling this very well! Is it 4/1 or 5 or 3/2 aside headstock? 3/2 Is it bare wood as apposed to paint on the headstock? Bare wood. Thanks Owen

4. £70 posted No tuners, no neck screws or neck plate. Bare neck and nut fitted. It is in VGC. I thought I needed it. I have no time to make use of it.
5. Well, I certainly did not expect to find this polarity of opinion. I guess for me it is the very subtle groove that brings the funk to me. The economy of the whole thing but everything being in the right place. As the old saying goes, one man's funk is another man's muzak. I am resisting the temptation to double post this.
6. At least it's not just me
7. This is not going well.
8. I have double posted. What a total loser. Could someone put me out of my misery and delete this one please.

17. What we really need is a luthier who will do what is needed and will be payed handsomely for the work, but has a courier account and charges cost price for moving basses backwards and forwards across the country. I have NO ONE close who's work I am happy with. I have 2 basses which need attention but no one I trust Feel my pain!
18. Your avatar makes me queasy!
Was having a look through Chuck Traeger's bass repair book and one of the first things he talks about are old school wooden endpins. They're meant to vibrate more freely than mordern day steel ones and therefore improve your sound. I've got a 5/8inch diameter spike on my new Tarrantino which according to the book, will fit a 2B hickory drumstick perfectly. A pair of sticks costs only about £7 so I give it a try. It actually works. My bass has a pretty big resonant sound anyway but now it sounds even more open, especially in the higher register. I wouldn't say it's louder, just a more free sound. Better still, the instrument vibrates a lot more with the low C shaking every bone in your body. This is with arco, I found the effect is less pronounced for pizz. Looks a bit weird though setting up with a drumstick in your bass, I'll see how many funny looks I get at the gig tomorrow.
19. Not the subtlest relic-ing job on the sunburst precision in his pics.
