1. I am loving this. I would love to have these skills.
2. Fair play, that is quite a list!
3. I bought a guitar from yer man here. When he says it is mint that is exactly what it will be.
4. I tried a pedal steel once. My brain still hurts.
5. Firecreek 33" 5 strings tuned B-G are very fine machines indeed.
6. Not wanting to be awkward, but it the unit will not provide phantom power, how do you make the mic work with it? Early congrats on your 1000th post.
7.
You get lower even order harmonic distortion as the motor/suspension asymmetry cancels each other out. It's something I've been thinking of doing in a larger sub too.
As I said, my head hurts.
8.
Good point! we're going to try it with half the drivers reverse mounted.
ACME 2x12"tastic! (?)
9. I love TI Jazz Rounds. They are lush. I also love the Newtone round core low tension strings. They are also lush (and cheaper).
10. I should really consider all I want to say and post it all at once.
11. The Christopher one is made from the same pattern as the Roth one. I tried wheels once and they are great if you are in a building with a nice flat floor, but otherwise it scared me rigid bouncing my bass along pavements etc.
12. It is a very long time since I dealt with a Ritter DB bag, but the proportions were way out of whack back then. I cannot speak for them now.
13. The Roth and Junius one looks to be a direct knock off of my Reunion Blues one which I bought 20 years ago and is still in A1 nick. Obv I cannot vouch for the build quality now, but having studied the pics it seems to be a direct copy.
14. Pimp my cab!

My favourite thing! Cat Diary Day 983 of my captivity My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. B------ds! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.... for now. ======================================================================================================= I have decided that I am similar to the dog, just with basses. Unless there is something horrific with the set up then I like every one I try. Every time I pick up one I do not own I think "yep, this would do". I am so shallow.
16. Ironically I am almost tipping into going into software front ends instead of hardware. I already am sorted for preamps, but it does look nice!
17. He has just replied to my email and has a 230v one ready to go. I do not need a new pre.
18. http://arkhamsound.com/octling.html Looks nice, word in TB is that it delivers the goods. I have asked if they will send to the UK. Not that I need another preamp, but......................
19. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2M6KHZQp8kg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> https://youtu.be/2M6KHZQp8kg One day I will learn how to embed videos. Can anyone do it for me?
20. I have scratchplate GAS. This is ridiculous.
21. This is totally bargainous. Totally.
22. The Five string bass has dodgy battery contacts. With some tender loving care it is fine and dandy. A truss rod tweak will make it sweet.
