  1. Have you any way of finding out if Christine is still with us Owen?
  2. It's a good start. You need experience to be able to do the sharpening by hand but to get the experience you have to have a sharp chisel. It's a very useful hand tool around the house if you do nowt else with it.
  3. Good man. Here is some useful info by a BassChat member with extensive cabinet building experience - @Christine. Christine has not been heard from since Covid but has made great contributions to the Build Thread. Much missed. Mind your delicate bits and let us know how you get on.
  4. A properly sharpened chisel and a steady hand. No mallet. Just a keen eye and lots of small shaves with repeated test fittings until you have a fit that is not going to close up clearances at full operation temperature? ...or summat.
  5. Oo! In that case I'll take two of them.
  6. Can I get one in a colonic mucus brown burst over fractal swirls with a rhino horn scratchplate?

    Hi all

    Bullfeathers! Welcome DB.
  8. Welcome Chap.
  9. Yes. I can see that. In fact... I can't unsee it so I've inflicted it on you lot too.
  10. I like the Monaco yellow.
  11. Welcome Riaz.
  12. Welcome Al.
  13. Needs more cowbell.
  14. As it is the strings look slightly out of alignment so I reckon that is a good move to start with.
  15. Welcome Losting. While looking at videos can help with finger positioning ideas and such, the best way to improve is to practice with others in a band. It doesn't have to be a gigging band at first. I think most of us started out just playing around with mates. Enjoy the trip. The more you put into it the more you'll get back.
  16. Excellent. Did you use the USB powered LED bar?
  17. That. That right there is clickbait! Heeheehee. On the contrary. Now we all want to hear it.
  18. Just imagine that lining on the headboard of your bed. It would be a joy to wake up to. In fact, I'd wallpaper at least one wall of a bedroom with it.
