  1. Thanks Tonci! I’ll have a think and look at money. Cheers.
  2. Hi. What is the volume like on this? I have an Ashdown RM15 and play in a 6 piece band. Is the head suitable for gig volume with a band? I DI into the PA so mostly just use my setup as a monitor, just wondering how this would keep up with a band? Thank you.
  3. You need a different wiring in the speakon for running in bridged mode. It’s Speakon(4p) to Speakon(2p). Check out OBBMs website, he sells them (link below). You won’t get the correct power output using a normal speakon in bridged mode. http://www.rock-wire.co.uk
  4. I played two gigs yesterday back to back (what a sweat fest!!). Anyway, unpacking quickly for the second gig, I sorted out my input gain level, checked the EQ was off and had a quick check on the level. I was met with an even better tone than I had previously but couldn’t work out why. I had a look and noticed the “EQ Balance” knob (circled yellow in the picture) had been turned nearly all the way to the left, towards “low”. Wow, it was fantastic and my bass sounded superb. I highly recommend tying it out if you have this head. The passive tone on my bass was left full on, no EQ on the head at all apart from the EQ Balance turned left and a small amount of Low Compression. Please note, this is an old picture, not of how I was set up (hence the EQ on in this one!)
  5. Sounds good! I pretty much just use the B Man amp sim. It’s this that sounds different between the two units. Exactly the same settings on both but the version on the BX1on sounds better to my ears. I use the B3 for gigging as it’s more robust though.
  6. I’ve not got the unit with the expression pedal and I don’t use the drums I’m afraid. I have both units and have noticed they sound different when using the same effect. I actually prefer the sound of the BX1on over my B3.
  7. It’s take me a while with all the settings and EQ getting my sound but now I’m very happy, sounds huge and only rated at 250w, I can’t believe it! I do find blending the valve in doesn’t really float my boat and the compressor has to be used sparingly but that might just be my speaker cab I’m using.
  8. Under the new Barefaced pricing these are £369 each just as basic without any cover, silver cloth or change of covering. These are like new, grab a bargain!
  9. ***SOLD*** I have two amazing condition Barefaced One10 speakers for sale. They were a special order as I didn’t want tolex so paid for them to match my Barefaced Super Compact. Both have the silver cloth grill and official Barefaced padded covers. They worked out at £429 per speaker when I bought them direct from Barefaced, they are up for £620 for the pair. Collection only from Dartford area please. I will split, £310 per cab but they sound so good together you need them both ;-) They are pretty much as new and sound lovely. I have an extension coming and have to fund it unfortunately. Cash on collection please, I’m not after any trades at all thank you.
  10. I met Martin halfway to buy his Ashdown cab. Top bloke, easy to deal with and great cab. Thanks Martin!
  11. Sorry you are having such a nightmare with yours. Mine stuck round the corners of mine without any problem at all and still work fine. I have since put them on again using some strong double sided tape as I found the sticky side of them wasn't as strong as I’d liked and lifted a couple of edges. All fine now though.
  12. Yeah that’s a right pain when that happens! Is some eBay loophole that they can have an address in the UK even if they ship from abroad or something I think? Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing the result!
  13. Drove over to Mick to buy his cab. Top fella, easy transaction and communication, highly recommend dealing with his lovely guy! Thanks Mick!
  14. Yes that's the idea. You can choose a single colour or the remote has options on it to give various changes. The 5050 LEDs are bigger and better than 3528 from what I believe? This is what I bought, you can choose various lengths: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=292222022202&globalID=EBAY-GB I can't wait to see some pictures from you lot!
  15. Get a set of these. If you measure the perimeter of your cab grill and that will give you the rough length you need. You then remove the grill, stick the strip around the inside edge and replace then you're good to go! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=292222022202&globalID=EBAY-GB
  16. Yes it came with the remote so I'll have a good play around with that when it arrives. I may just stick with the yellow though as I don't want my cab turning into a 70s Disco! Ha ha! The led strip has two wires. You solder the negative to the centre of the barrel and the positive to the outer tab. Easy peasy.
