  1. I agree with the colour auto engage. That aside I really like the pedal and tend to run the drive always on. I bump the mids up to about 3 o’clock to compensate the colour, gain down to minimum, blend about 9 o’clock. Both switches engaged. Sounds great to my ears. Just a little taste of bite.
  2. Yes the HB7’s and they are top quality. I put a BT7 Xtender on the E string too.
  3. I’ve got a Player Jazz with a maple neck. Beautiful bass. I changed the machine heads to Hipshots as they were the only thing I didn’t like (didn’t keep their tuning well). Pickups, electronics and neck are perfect.
  4. Nice review, thank you for taking the time to write and test! I used to have a couple of One10s and they sounded great. I sold them as I didn’t need them for the project I moved onto. When I needed an cab again I ended up getting a Trace Elf 1*10. It was cheaper, really light, built like a tank, a little smaller and sounds amazing. Try one out if you get the chance, I highly recommend it.
  5. Paul bought my Status neck from here. Easy to deal with, quick payment and top bloke! Thanks Paul and enjoy!
  6. Thanks for the heads up. I was just looking at them but I’ll stick with the tank 😀
  7. NOW SOLD Status Graphite neck with Hipshot Ultralite tuners. Neck is in fantastic condition and hardly used. A small blemish on the back of the headstock (please see photo). Two of the tuners have some pockmarks but this does not affect them at all. Taken off my P Bass. Side dot markers but none on the fretboard looks amazing! Plays like silk and is as good as you can imagine. With the Hipshots, it’s very light too and well balanced. Brand new these Necks are £320 + VAT + shipping (so close to £400) and the Hipshots are over £100. Grab a bargain! £300 including postage and packaging to the UK or you can pickup from me in Sevenoaks district, Kent.
  8. I had a lovely sound about 10 years ago and like everyone, I’ve been chasing after the ultimate sound I’ve got in my head ever since. Always changing pedals, basses and amps to get to my utopia. Today I plugged a P Bass into my old Hartke VXL Bass Attack and guess what.....it is wonderful! What have I been doing the last 10 years?! Has anyone tried the new version of this pedal? I’m not changing again now but curious to see if it’s the same but a smaller footprint as this thing is a bit of a tank!
  9. £70 Christmas stocking filler? Granted it would have to be a large stocking but it still might fit? 😄
  10. My 2-Tone band (The Skalites) just played the Skamouth Weekender. Amazing venue and crowd, absolutely loved it! We write our own material and also do covers. Here’s a shirt snip of Nite Klub which hopefully does justice to the atmosphere of the place and the song! I am playing a standard Mexican Fender Jazz Player with flats. Bridge pickup rolled off and tone set down to about 15%. IMG_8637.MOV
  11. Bought a bass body. Easy transaction and great comms. No worries!
  12. I bought Mike’s Jazz Bass from him. Excellent and just as described. Great comms, easy transaction and wrapped to perfection. Thanks Mike!
  13. We have a JBL system with 12” tops and 18” subs, all active. The best PA we’ve used and the subs definitely add to our sound with the drum kit mic’d up (just bass drum if it’s a small venue, bass and snare if larger). The whole band DI into the PA. In my opinion, really worth doing if you can afford and justify the extra expense.
  14. I would post but I have no case and it’ll be a bit of a gamble if it got to you in one piece. Sorry ☹️ The fan fret neck is excellent to play and feels totally natural.
  15. I’ve had this for a while as backup at gigs. The machine-heads were upgraded to Schiller and I bought new individual bridges to upgrade from standard too. Plays well with a fast neck. The frets could do with a file on the edges in a couple of places but a great bass for the money. Active EQ and multi scale fan fret. It was £150 new without upgrades. There are one or two dink’s which I’ve tried to photograph but nothing major at all. No gig bag for this so collection only please from West Kingsdown in Kent. A great bass for £70! Official blurb: Fan Fret, Multi-Scale Design Boasting a 34.5" scale on the high string and 35.5" at the low end, the RedSub INF Fan Fret Bass Guitar offers premium construction with comfortable playability. With a body made from USA basswood, the INF Fan Fret offers a comfortable playing experience and eye-catching design due to the ergonomic bevel cut in the top of the instrument. Versatile Tones, Ideal for Stage of Studio The pair of humbuckers have been specifically designed to complement the construction of the bass guitar. They're angled to accommodate the fanned construction, being at the sweet spot for each string. 16. Here’s my updated rig. I have a Tech 21 VT500 and Mark Bass LM3 (MB is backup incase god forbid I get a failure on the Tech 21), into a Trace Elliott Elf 1x10. Homemade pedal board on top has a Line6 G75 Wireless into a Boss TU-3 then into a Thumpinator. All this is DI’d into the PA for front of house. Really small footprint and an easy carry/setup. Very happy 😊🎶👍🏼🎵
  17. That is a really good idea, I didn’t think of using something like that. Could solve some other problems with storage too. Thank you 👍🏼
  18. I’ve just got hold of a Tech 21 VT Bass 500 and I’m after a bag or case for it. The official one seems to be unavailable everywhere. Does anyone else have a 3rd party solution for storage of this amp?

  20. Thanks mate! Here are a few shots of the bass. My rig is a MarkBass LM3 with an EWS Trilogic 2 preamp. My on stage speaker is a Trace Elf 1x10 and then a DI into our PA. I roll the tone on the P Bass fully off and then bring it back up slowly until I hear a small fizz of treble. Strung with Fender Flats.
