There's some really weird routing underneath the scratch plate of my jazz (2005 US). There's a lot of routing around the pickup, and then a hole below and forward of it. Just a hole. No tracks to wiring to anywhere else and a really stupid place to put a control. I always assumed it was somewhere to hide your crack, because I can't think of any other reason for it.

That fuzz pedal sounds obscene in all the fun ways. I was actually kinda relieved when I did the currency conversion and came out with a scarily large number.

+1 for Reaper! I've been using it for a year or so now the stability has come on leaps and bounds in that time. It's starting to look like a serious competitor in the DAW market now, which at $50 for a non-commercial licence is borderline hilarious. That said, when you buy an audio interface they'll come with plenty of demo software. -1 for the Mac Tax, but with a tentative +1 if you really don't mind paying the extra in exchange for having Steve Jobs hold your hand in the scary world of computers.

I have mine slung so that when the audience starts throwing stuff I'm not going to catch it in the goolags. I know my priorities.

Can't really justify the cost though, as I'd struggle to find something to do with it beyond making silly noises and giggling.

I had a bit of a search around when I first came across this video and as far as I can tell the guy is called Gustavo Dalfarra, or maybe Gustavo Dal Farra. I really love this piece. Most bass solos are just masturbation, but that's actually music.

Would the bass riff sampled in Rapper's Delight be too long? Because if that doesn't make people grin then there's something wrong with them and they should be publicly flogged.

I had a credit card go like that once when I left it in my jeans and then tried to dry them on the radiator.
