Yeah they kept the factory open so I could get there at 7.30 and was done like 8.30-9ish One could argue if they'd got it finished on time they wouldn't of had to, another is don't ask for a stupid key on/off switch and we'll get your amp turned around in half the time and not have to stay 4 hours after for you but its very very cool the whole on/off thing

Acquired this tonight before my gig tomorrow. The specs Custom GT200 MK2 Gain & Volume on the front of the amp Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence internally on the amp (set at the factory for my tone) 2 Identical inputs (allows me to use my Ric O Sound and do dual mono and who wants to pad a bass on a valve amp ) Most importantly On/Off Switch is a key, so if this ever gets stolen it's useless, no key - no power, no power - you have a nice paperweight. Head weighs 26.45kg Cabinet Reworking of the 2x12 I used for years and recently sold. Issue with the old 2x12 is the new GT200 doesn't fit on it so I've had them make it shorter and wider. This cab uses their new lighter wood and neos and clocks in at 21.8kg I'm gigging it tomorrow, I've had no time with it other than setting the eq, but it will be nice to have some real power behind me again

Got a new light weight 2x12 coming this week so don't need this anymore. Additionally Matamp have a matching red tolex in stock now so they can make you a matching GT200 or a headcase for your other favourite amp. Grab yourself a bargain as this would cost you over £1500 today and that's if you can convince him to even make you one.

As long as you keep the 8x10 I think you'll be fine.

I go to Ged Green but not with DB, the guy builds his own instruments so I wouldn't expect it's outside of him whatever work you need doing. His number is 07747 697514 if you want to give him a call and see if he can help. Everything hes done for me on electric bass has been top notch.
Fun afternoon. Nice to see those who turned up (always good to hang out Ste!). That Wal was lovely!
For sure, need to do it more often.
Men Imitating Machines were amazing to see, definitely going to see them live in a couple of weeks. Also tayste's board is tayste!
Very kind of you to say, I've already changed it since I got home

Quick question as my lift seems to have let me down, I've got this showing as about 2 miles from Kidsgrove train station does that seem about right? Thinking I'll just train and taxi it around, it will mean I won't have the B-15 though, but can do a good few other toys

So a little bit of background first, the Mojohand 442 (red) or bass version, previously known as the Boomstick Bottom Feeder and before that the Tone Factor 442 Bass/Red (the red is a misnomer because they aren't all red, mainly due to all the custom coloured ones I've owned over the years) has been my favourite filter since it's creation. Now it's based on the Dod 440 Filter pedal and that is what the original Tone Factor 442 was, a simple clone of the Dod the Red/Bass version was born out of my discussions with Tone Factor at the time and was initially a custom project for me that then went on to be part of their product line. So when I say this is the filter for me, it really is, it was built for me with me in mind and then it just seemed a good idea to sell them to everyone else. So I've had a 442 in one shape or form on my board for god knows, 7+ years? and it has been my go to filter, it's not the most crazy, feature packed funky filter but it is the most musical and its been the only filter I've been able to use in a band situation over sitting in my music room pretending I'm Bootsy Collins. So basically I'm a die hard 442 fan and have just taken a punt on the 443 because, well why not. I'll expand this thread over time when I get a bit more of time with the pedal but thought I would post my experiences so far. So the 443, is the same shape and size as the 442, so standard small mxr size, still 9vdc etc everything you'd expect from a boutique pedal, the main difference is 3 knobs over 2. So because it's got 3 knobs over 2 knobs its more complicated (gotta be, more knobs you see) and the other thing that comes into play here is they are completely different pedals. The 443 is not based on the Dod 440, there is no specific bass model as the frequency range is wide enough for both bass and guitar. So that's the initial the 443 is not an upgraded 442, its a different pedal. Tonally they are similar I can easily dial in my 442 tones, it doesn't suck low end but then I can go beyond the 442 by using the resonance knob, but it's still in that more subtle filtering sounds that you're use to with the 442. It can get a lot deeper and also treblier than the 442, so you can get a real high rasp to the filter, or as I found for the first time in any other filter, the dub sounds I've been using a Dod FX25 for. This really surprised me that I could get such a full and dubby sound, I'm going to A/B the two soon as I'd much rather have something as robust as the 443 on a board over my FX25. So I think that's about all I have for now, different pedals, same camp but you could easily justify owning both and even having both on the same board. I also took delivery of a Subdecay Prometheus Deluxe so they're all fighting for their lives at the moment :bassist:
