Changed my mind, 8x10 is up for sale too much rig for my current band and it's upsetting owning it (Soft I know but hey has knocked me sideways all this)
-
So I've used this twice now with the Aguilar DB750 I'm borrowing from a friend whilst my insurance claim gets processed for all my other Matamp stuff being stolen. Basically I've changed bands, this is too much amp for the band I'm in and I'm looking much much smaller (Ampeg B15 intact) and also if I'm honest every time I turn around I just think about all the beautiful stuff that was made at the same time that went with it, that I'll probably never see again. Cab is rated 2400w one of the early Matamp 8x10s I bought this in October 2008 and it's loaded with Eminence drivers (as far as I know), stainless steel front grills with laser cut holes resulting in more holes than grill (allowing more sound to pass through). Cab is stereo and has two speakon inputs on the back and a switch to change it from 4ohm to 2 x 8 ohm, the great thing about this feature other than running 2 heads on it to kill people is you can run vintage tube amps at 16ohms using the 2 8 ohms in parallel. Cab is finished in red tolex with stainless silver hardware, and will also come with a Roqsolid cover though this is pretty scuffed and ripped up. There are a few marks in the tolex here and there but no major rips. I've toured a lot and used a lot of 8x10's this is by far the best I've ever had, it's huge, punchy, tight and just so much low end and volume there is nothing this cab can't do. To those worried about weight, this thing is so easy to move it kicks back and you just drag it around with 1 hand, if you do have to go up stairs it has handles on the bottom of it so unlike the usual up by your chin whilst the other person has it down by their ankles of moving a 4x10 up stairs it sits comfortably at waist height for both people (if that makes sense) Various pics So help me out, I'm gigging at the moment and borrowing and renting amps I need something of my own and can't wait around for the insurance company to maybe give me some of my amp money back. For those after something a bit smaller I could be tempted to part with my 2x12 (cheap) Cheers guys

So been rocking a pedaltrain nano for years, though I'll have a modular setup, so bought another one, sold it, bought another (5 days ago) and now gone sod it and bought a pedaltrain 1 (plus more pedals of course) So I've got two great condition pedaltrain nanos up for sale. £50 this one I got 5 days ago brand new in box, I've put the velcro on, and used it tonight for practice to find yes I do need that many fx all the time so it comes with box, spare velcro, zip ties, bag, straps, manual the works like new. £45 had this one ages, good condition, velcro on the board comes with bag and straps etc, bag. There you go, I'm in Manchester if anyone wants to collect and I'm sure we can work something out if you want both. No trades already over spent this months and it's what the 3rd, good times like old times
The Nanos are TINY, but it makes complete sense if you barely need anything on your board like I do. Liam
You'd think, I now have two nano's really need to just stick with a PT jr or One was always my favourite board size, modular just means infinately expandable to me terrible thing.

So still waiting on my insurance claim to come through and no sign of the gear, the police closed the case 5 days after the robbery. So here's what I'm thinking: Depending on the price I'm given keep the 8x10 or convert it to 2 4x10's currently I'm going to keep it an 8x10 So due to keeping the big red 8x10 I'm trying to get a colour config of the head that would go and not look (too) mismatched. So black with red racing stripes and then keeping the theme of racing/car and the fact I'm still feeling very wounded over being robbed, instead of getting an On and Standby switch I'm looking in to a car ignition where there first position would be off, then standby, then fully on essentially meaning the amp needs a key Then as my TaySte switch worked so well for me for 3+ years I never once click it off to mess with the front eq and never once went into the amp to change the settings this new Matamp will have 2-3 knobs on the front, one for Volume, one for Gain and one as the active input volume cut so I can set how much the active input cuts, like a pre gain but tbh this is feeling redundant and I'm probably going to get it with 1 input and just tweak the gain depending on bass output. As for additional IO, I'm going to get this head made with the transformer for the DI like the Meat DI so I've got a really high quality DI on the head, it's going to have a slave input as my other amp purchase is likely to be a vintage Ampeg B-15 and it would be nice to slave that into the Matamp (you know just as an option). The DI on the head will mean if I want to do some recording I can just get a 100w load box and DI the head and make sure the head isn't cranked when hooked to the load box it's big and it's heavy but I think my recording now is so few and far between I don't care. So the idea is B15 does small to medium gigs, Matamp does medium to large gigs and I maybe look at a small digital amp (currently the Ampeg PF350) to sit on my Matamp 2x12 as my lightweight portable rig Thoughts?

Been very interested in the PF500 and 350 recently I'd pair it with the 1x15 portaflex cab that you can bolt it to the top of. but largely I'm looking at putting it with my Matamp 2x12 which is 4ohms and should really kick

I'm hoping to get one in the next year or so, ideally in line with my 30th birthday (so I have an excuse to buy it) but maybe sooner. Problem is I'm going off recorded tone etc as to wanting to get one, I have no idea if I want a 60's or 70's model, single or double baffle etc so wondering if anyone knows where there are some good examples, I don't mind renting the amp, or a studio for an hour or so to try it out in. Cheers in advance guys.

I agree my MIM Pawnshop Mustang is beautifully put together, I did take it to my tech who leveled one fret and he said he's never come across a mexi bass that didn't have one out. Wish I could play with more strings, I'd be all over the Bass VI

So had some big big changes the past few months, had all my amps stolen, sucks, no longer in the band I was in for the past 8 years. So made some changes bought some more generic basses (a p bass etc) and I just have too many Overwater's (Current count is 5) and I can't see me using them in the band I'm playing in now. So I bought this from Overwater as a refurbished bass in 2010 (I think might have been 2009) I believe it was originally made in 2002 but during the refurb it had all the electronics replaced, the bridge recoated and polished. In addition to this they relaquered over the dents and dings, so you can see them but you can't feel them. I'm going to be having the same thing done with my other Progress III once I've freed some cash up. The guy who had this bass originally, traded it in for a new Jazz 5, he must have honestly been playing this bass for about 8 hours a day for 8 years, some really nice player wear on this bass. I bought it as my studio bass, it's made from a lovely piece of Brazilian Walnut (that you won't be able to get anymore due to rainforest wood laws etc), topped with some figured maple. It inherently has a darker tone but still got that brilliant clear tone you expect from an Overwater. Scale length is 36 inch, honestly it's not that hard to play, anyone interested should come have a play on it, I'll be keeping my other 36inch scale Overwater. Weight is 5kg or 11lbs depending on your preference of measurement. I'm after £1200, I don't have a case for this as I use the same gig bag for everything but for the right buyer/price I'll go out and get you a gig bag or Hiscox/Overwater case. I'm open to offers, might consider trades but really I've got to many basses as it is, but I'll listen to anything that has cash my way involved. Cheers

Should do the Matamp method of 2 pieces of wood on the bottom painted black, so stable.

Ideally you put it last in chain and don't send it to your amp. So use the parallel out and send that to your amp and the other to a di and a huge pa. And to clarify it can break amps when used correctly also If you want something more controllable but similar the Aguilar Octomizer is the best bet, it's what i'm buying and I've owned a Meatbox. Hope this helps

Dibs for when this one is also too small

Good condition, still got the box. Basically this is THE utilitarian DI to have, I've used it for years live and in the studio but with the new band I'm going to be in smaller venues, my next amp will have a built in xlr output and I just can't see where I'm going to use this, so pop it on the chopping block I say . Few scuffs and scratches here and there but all in all very good condition. I will consider trades since I have effects gas so hit me up and let's see if we can strike a deal. Cheers
According to Google translate, 'cabron' is Spanish for 'asshole.' So presumably 'cabronita' means 'asshole-eater.'
It would actually mean little asshole and it's in the feminine
