I've had a thing for late eighteen usa strats for a loooooong time. Finally found one recently i could afford.... 88 strat plus deluxe.

+1 for mxr bef if your into finger style funk lines. Listen to anything by dumpstaphunk for the sounds. Both (yes they have 2) their bass players use it. I've had over 20 filters, but the mxr is the king of them all imho of corse.

another major development Yesterday I now have a kind of working arduino controlled prototype, housed on a 3d printed enclosure/base. And for the first time the development of the electronics is ahead of the mechanical design! next step is to get the prototype to controll pot on an actual pedal. this will be the proof of concept.

I already figured out how to make an led blink at various speeds controlled by a potentiometer. That's way more than I expected on day one! Tbh the task seems alot less daunting now I have a basic understanding of how arduino works. It's really easier than you might think. Thisevening I'm planning to hook up the stepper motors.

This project took a big leap forward today.... With all this spare time on my hands, I thaught this would be a perfect new skill to learn the programming of the teensy board. So I ordered a teensy 4.0, a screen, breadboard, pots and buttons and a stepper motor to get going. Wish me luck!

Serious suggestion here. If the board is on the floor try lifting it up. It could be cables running through the floor or even downstairs lighting causing the noise.

Just a thaught. Make sure your sound cards input is in stereo. When I started using my stomp I thaught it was rubbish because it was summing the stereo FX to mono. The stereo FX in the helix sound amazing!

Correct. As long as the AD/DA conversion isn't happening in a paralell loop you wont get any problems.

It's also worth checking that none of the pedals in a paralell loop invert phase. This should be immediately obvious upon listening, but it's worth checking before any pedal purchases designed for loop use. I was stung once. Never again.
