1. Lakland 55-02 has 19mm spacing, like you I can't really get on with narrow spacing. Give the Lakland a shot.
2. If your 06 is the same as my 04 then it's an ovangkol neck with a wenge fretboard. The Warwick serial dater should give you the full spec of the bass.
3. Great bass. Now don't go selling it again!
4. I remember that place. They had some great 2nd hand stuff, always wondered what happened with them.
5.
There is no mount on the JAN, just carefully remove the old JAN with a Stanley knife blade as a lever, and sand off any glue residue, then a couple of small drops of superglue on the new one and it should fit perfectly. I have done this a couple of times. There's a guide on the warwick site somewhere on how to fit a new JAN.
This. I replaced a broken JANII with a JANIII, very easy, 5 minute job if you're taking your time.
6. I don't honestly care once it sounds good to start off with. I've got poly, nitro, oil and wax finished instruments and, to be honest, I don't think any one is "better" than the other, tonally or aesthetically.
7. Have you lowered the baseplate of the bridge as well as the saddles?
8. You just can't beat the look of a white Tele
9. Planet waves make a 3" wide padded strap which should take care of the neck dive and the shoulder pain.
10. Nice! What model is it?
11.
has a bit more body mass for added sustain
Can they actually prove that?
12. Well done to Ped and the team, I think the new features are a big step forward. Thank you very much for all your hard work.
13. I like that his bass has SLAP written on it, in case he forgets. It's what I'd like to do to his face, too.
14. Yeah, curry night would get me through the door quicker than the false praise for the other two
15. I'd say put an a trade ad up and go for a SS1. The LX is nice, but really get an SS1 if you can. Trust me on this

I had just noticed this on my profile too, good to know what's going on
17. I get through them all regularly, some are more favoured than others but they all get a look in. They all play and sound differently so I have no problem justifying their presence to myself
18. Look left
19. I just mash my fabulous hair into a hat shape, it's almost a good as a real hat. OK, 38% as good. OK, 14% as good.
20.
Aye, I remember Raw Power - do you remember it when it was The Power Hour, with Zoidzilla on the opening titles? Ah memories - I'd get in between 1-2am from my glass-collecting job, catch the end of the James Whale Radio Show, whatever Sci-fi series was on (Friday The 13th, Twilight Zone etc.) and then wait up for the Power Hour/Raw Power. I had a proper crush on Nikki Groocock back then! Award yourself five points if you're still awake!
That was my life from ages 14-18 And, yes, Nikki Groocock, yes please.
21.
There arent too many albums that one hears and knows straight away that it is something special. but this was definately one of them.
This. I still remember hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit for the first time on Raw Power (anyone remember that?) sandwiched between the hairsprayed fluff it destroyed almost overnight. It's a truly great album, simple as that. It doesn't need beatification or justification. It is what it is. As for that article, it felt like some furrowed brow journo trying to conjur up a story where there wasn't one. Who gives a sh*te what classification it is or isn't? It's just a collection of brilliant tunes.
22. Including the shipping price. The Man will take whatever he can get his hands on. The ad quotes USPS as the courier, so that should end up with Royal Mail's parcel division. Over here, they take cash at the door, though it may be different for you in the UK.
23. Add about 25%, that's what you'll pay the postie before he hands it over to you.
24. Streamer LX, quite a few have sold recently in the classifieds section, you should be able to get rough pricing there. Have a look on the Warwick website to date it http://www.warwick.de/modules/support/serials.php
25. Some great figuring on that, very nice!
