    In this case, the Thomastik Infeld (TI) JF365 set will do the job perfectly. They are expensive, that's true but you won't find anything better than these flats even the LaBella Nylons being black, white, gold, standard or with copper...

    Could you give us the usuals, like year of making, scale, woods used, weight, strings spacing at nut and bridge and action at 12th fret under the B and C ? The pickups are the terrific French Benedetti's, I know, but are they single coils or humbuckers ? Does it come with the case ?

    And what about Percy Jones, Mick Karn, to name two old fretless active bass player and Alain Caron to name a modern one or even Alfonso Johnson. Some of them played fretless when someone was still practicing sport and not playing bass... Try to boost the 800 Hz zone on your fretless with your on board or out board preamp and you'll hear that your fretles bass is singing and growling...
