1. Thursday looking forward to the weekend BUMP.
2. Appears to be an intermittent fault with the preamp. If it needs to be replaced thats not a problem.
3.
I've seen that same bass on leftybass.com you're probably speaking of
Yes thats the one. Knew what is was as soon as I saw it. Seller assures me the neck structure is fine and close up photos suggest ok although cosmetically needs a little work. Got it for a very good price so will see how it goes. The is not much info on these basses as Clover stopped production some time ago but soundwise there is a clip of Kai Eckhardt using the same model on You Tube that gives you an idea.
4. If your down South London way at all in the next couple of weeks your welcome to try my Tecamp M212 which is currently for sale. Only suggest this as I notice you use a TD650 and I used one of these plus an HD350 with the earlier version of this cab and sounded excellent, plus big punch sound from reasonably lightweight cab.
5. Thanks hubrad. I know Clover still sell the double end strings for this, plus can use conventional extra long strings. Don't really want to order the Clovers in case not that great. I had one of these briefly about 20 years ago and was a 34" which they didn't normally produce unless special order.
6. Yes, unfortunate name I know. Just wondering if anyone else has one of these in their collection as I would like to share some thoughts, especially strings as its 36" scale.
7. I had a Markbass 2x10 wedge combo up till recently and that was pretty loud and punchy for a 2x10, but for some gigs I still raised it at an angle just to make sure I could hear myself clearly. Also having the kickback at the front facing you will be better than from the rear, providing FOH is covered.
8. I really like mine. Had it for 2 months or so now and seen maybe 15 gigs with no problems. I've been using it with a variety of Tecamp cabs. Set flat it is different to the likes of Markbass and Genz, being quite polite sounding for want of a better word. But the eq is designed to be pushed (incl the tube sim) to get the tone your after. Being someone who dosn't like to fiddle with eq much this took me a few gigs to get used to. Would never go back to a Genz after this due to what I found as a lack of low end oomph, but Markbass are still stiff competition IMO. I did an open air gig last night, the TC through my Tech 4x10 (4ohm 1200w). There was a massive FOH PA but still a big stage with high volumn coming from all directions but the rig held its own with the TC having Power in reseve. I do mostly function band work and it works fine for me in that environment.
9. Had the same thing happen at a conference centre near Parliment Sq a few weeks back (without magician). Only really affected the bass though. Had several sound guys on the case for half an hour before they found the problem. I hadn't a clue.
10. Bump time, and just to say I'm open to part-ex on this, no cabs though. amps or left handed basses.
11.
Think that was the first time I've managed to be a benefit rather than a hinderance on this forum
I'm not a prolific poster so a rare chance for me to have done something useful as well.
12. Beat me to it. I have several of these diagrams somewhere in the garage from old Schack and SEIs.
13. Bump with more pictures.....
14.
I'd love to know what a Tecamp cab sounds like!
Always a tricky one trying to decribe tone, so other than my comment in the OP I can't say must more except unlike some other 2x12s Neos I've owned such as EBS/Epifani it ticks all the boxes. The other cab I'm keeping for my main band is the Tecamp S212. Could easily have decided to sell either and to be honest the M212 is probably the better cab as a standalone due to it's better bass response, but the S212 is used for backline only and is perfect for that situation.
15. Hi Andy, Nice basses the Jaydees but I've been down that road and not for me, but thanks anyway. Your welcome to come over sometime to have a look. Will pm your with my home email.
16. Price drop on the Shuker headless to £1000. Seems more realistic looking at what other folks are asking.
17. Well I mentioned this before but I'm now seriously considering letting my Shuker 5 headless go so just seeing if any interest here. Comes with original case and I'll be looking for £1000.00. This bass is easily in the same league of craftmanship as SEI etc. Reasonably lightweight and easy to play with good balance. Maple/Wenge Neck-thru. Ziricote fretboard. Similar density to maple. White Ash body. Flamed Myrtlewood facing. 34" scale, 24 fret. Blue side leds with external brightness control. SD Bassline pickups (MM/jazz) with coil switch for MM. Shuker 3 band circuit plus active/passive switch. I find I'm mostly playing my US deluxe 4 now. Maybe age related but I'm starting to get back into the more traditional bass look. I'll be looking for a high end 5 jazz type over the next few weeks, possibly ordering another Shuker if nothing used turns up. Could also be into part ex on other LH basses. Drop me a pm with what you have or any questions on the Shuker.
18. I bought two new Tecamp cabs several weeks back, the second was for a gigging project other than my main band on the south coast where the cab was to live for a while. Thats not going to happen as of last night so considering letting this go. In excellent condition, 4 ohm. Looking for £600 cash on collection as basically new and in excellent condition with little use (one gig just to make sure all was good). This is Tecamps top selling cab. Raved about in reviews, talkbass etc. Loud, punchy and crisp clear high end with a smooth low end. Your low B will love it. Click the following link for all specifications. 19. Noticed this in the garage last night, so bump.
20. Would love to have that 6x12 sitting in my garage, but judging by most of the gigs I do it will only ever come out once every couple of years at most.
21. Hi, Just a line to let people know I have a set of these in the For Sale section.
22. Have had these on my Bassix EUB for several months but have decided to experiment with some new strings. I've never gigged them. Suitable for 3/4 size bass. Here is a review by Rob Gollihur.... Corelli review. Looking for £45.00 including postage.
