Hey Alan, many people have the same problem with the KingBass I. I had a lovely 5-string through neck one made for me in 2006 & ended up selling it for the very same reason. Then I tried again with a near identical 4-string build in the same woods last year. Both sold on. At least the S2-Classic & Streamline fit me like proverbial gloves!
Unfortunately no left handers planned for the Streamline as I already enquired, but S2 body shape worked for me also. S2 5 + bendwell + KB11 electrics/pickups (if bolt-on).... one day maybe.
Hi Alan I love the look of your Shuker but just one question, is there any hi-end custom UK bass that you haven't owned and can we have pics in the lefty thread?
Well I'll honest and say I've been through most, some new, some used. Unfortunately most pictures were lost when my PC crashed a while back so not much I can show I'm afraid. Really enjoy playing a Fender Jazz deluxe 4 at this moment but just to get this thread back on track here is a picture of my now departed Kingbass 5, living it up on a Scottish Isle at this very moment. My favorite sounding Status of the 3 previously owned. Loved the shorter scale due to the bendwell, but as much as I tried I could not get on with the body shape when gigging so unfortunately had to let it go.

Nice one Steve. I had the first left handed 5 string S2 thru-neck from Status which was also all black as yours but with blue side leds. A friend of mine ordered the first left handed 4 string neck-thru S2s (fretted and fretless) so guess your new purchase came shortly after these.
good thing they're completely impossible to find in lefty version for the sake of my bank account
Josh, I've had 3 new left handed Status direct from the factory over the years. The first neck-thru S2 5 string Rob made, a 4 string S2 bolt-on and 5 string Kingbass bolt-on. All at no extra cost for being left handed. Only downside experiance was when my Kingbass arrived the side dot markers were in the wrong place so taken back immediately. The only one I regret selling on is the Kingbass, 32" scale due to the bendwell and was so easy to play plus a better allround tone compared to the other 2 for some reason.
Pics as soon as I can find that chuffing lead for my flipping phone. ARGGGGGHHHH WHERE DID YOU GO?
Josh, I have some pictures of those marks. As I had the bass offered to me before you bought it. Let me have your email address if you've not taken pictures already.

Hi all, My left handed Bassix Tech upright is available for £700.00 plus postage. Comes with gigbag. These are £995 new. Bought new summer 2008 but I have only gigged it once and due to a turnaround of gear I need to get some cash in. All composite. Sounds more authentic to an upright than an NS (which I owned before this). Pin is removable for easy transportation. Any questions please ask. Josh... please can you list this on the opening post for me.
Ah ha! That was when he was wearing the ludicrous trousers (see my nostalgia post above) I knew it wasn't NBZ, but just couldn't remember the name. Perhaps our 'Truth Audition Correspondent' can confirm the absurdity of Dennis's strides at this time?
IIRC no absurd strides I'm afraid, although would love to report otherwise.
-
Also a fan of NBZ in the early years but have to agree with what someone said earlier about Dennis being arrogant etc. I auditioned for The Truth when he was in that band and unfortunately it wasn't 15 minutes of my life I would like to repeat. The other guys were fine but he came across as a pretty unpleasent character. Very dissapointing as I had seen NBZ many times prior and loved what they did.

Good idea this guys. Josh... let me know if the black sterling becomes available. May be interested if I have some spare cash at the time. I have a CHASE ELITE 4 string available in black with gigbag. I bought this for a couple of overseas gigs but all instruments are being laid on so can't see myself using it in the near future. All black. Set up with low action. Used on a couple of London functions to make sure of no issues. Below is a link to the specs. Looking for £70.00 including postage. Not a fan of the original and i agree a little messy but I do quite like the Michael Buble version, nice arrangement.

Volt drivers were used by Alligator in their bass combo/cabs during the last couple of years of production (not the green covering). If the cabs come up on Ebay etc they tend not to go for much as not many people are familiar with the name but maybe worth buying just for the drivers alone.
-
I think many of us have simply been spoilt by the lightweight micro amps of late, so anything we thought was reasonable weightwise several years back seems a little heavy. Both the 350 and 650 are fantastic amps. Looking forward to seeing the new EBS mini amp that is rumoured to be due 2009.
-
The 625 head is very different to the later Tech SS and current Tecamp amp range. I think that amp was introduced when Tech SS were still making cabs with the non neo aluminium coned drivers. I used some years ago and liked it, although too long ago to give a review.

I have 2 Markbass cabs for sale, in excellent condition. Very flexible stack. Just take what you need depending on the gig. Traveler 102P (8 ohms). One handle on side as very lightweight plus attenuator for adjusting the tweeter. Standard 151HR (8 ohms). Compact, easy to carry 1x15. Plenty of bottom end from this but also a great all-round stand alone cab. High-end Compression driver is quite musical sounding and in a different league to a standard tweeter unit. Ideally would like to sell together. Looking for £600 cash on collection from South London. Thanks for viewing.
