1.
Was this in Denmark Street? If it's the one I am thinking of, it's been there for at least six years at that price. Prices of Shergolds do vary, but I'd say £200 to £400 for an 8.
Hi, no it was in manchester, though for reference how much is the one at denmark street please? im thinking of ringing tomorrow and trying some major haggling, not holding my breathe though.
 2. Hi, to be honest i thought it was on the pricey side and i think YouMa's comment was the nail in the coffin. That said its definitely sparked my interest in an 8-string, can anyone recommend some other good ones?
 3. Hi, ive just been around a few music shops today and i noticed a Shergold Marathon 8 string. Id heard about their rep so thought id give it a try and absolutely loved it, especially the sound. The question is though how much is it worth. The shop was asking £1000 and i got them down to £899 and after how nicely it played i was tempted, however it has got a fair few nocks and marks on it, granted it is a 30+ year old bass. So in short would you say it is worth that or are they charging way over its value as im not too up on the value of the basses. Looks like this but with marks, a p style pickup and obviously an extra 4 strings:
 4. i believe this has been withdrawn :/
 5. Just thought id chirp in and say Josh is a great guy to deal with and i would heavily recommend him. No problems about using the pic, as for reviews heres kevs: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=21764 and another two which i noticed: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=188 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=35399 Great effects pedal and good luck with the sale
 6. Hi, i wouldn't want to ruin your thread so i hope you take it as help as opposed to sticking my nose in, but electromusic are willing to order one of these new from ampeg for £1100 and gak will do so for £1200 posted if you ring both these places. Also while i was ringing around trying to get mine i managed to get a new USA one (granted it had been floating around the shop a few years) for £850 posted. In short there great amps but i think your price is far too high, if it was me id be selling around £800 maybe £900. Sorry for that but anyhow good luck with the sale
 7. im going to have to try and resist the 'very early 21st birthday pressie' card, very nice bass!!!

Call me when you need a good chiropractor!!!
lol, it may be rather soon, i was adamant that id carry the 1510e from the woman it was delivered to across the road on my own then it was an awfully long way to hoist the svt-2 pro up to.. i did however maintain my male pride

 15. Hi, i think the second hand market is definitely what id love to see, but i think you would also need a good web side to the business to support it. I was amazed when i was ringing around looking for my new amp head the stock people had in, however unless i knew specifically what i was looking for i would have no interest in ringing around again, i like it there on a website, with some good pictures to see exactly what its like. As for prices i dont think you need to compete with the internet, id prefer to buy from a store if i could simply because i trust it more and its nice to know you have somewhere to go and someone to talk to if something goes wrong. I havnt read the full thread so i dont know if anyones mentioned this, but i think effects would heavily be worth considering, as there are very few places i can think of with a impressive stock of them ready to try. Also possibly explore the more techy side of music, particularly the audio interfaces as more and more people seem to be more interested in pc recording but many think that toneport is a god and theres nothing else out there.
 16.
Ha I nearly bought it back then but wanted a Stu Hamm Urge 2 so left this behind, very nice though
ah in that case i wouldnt make the same mistake twice and not buy it now
 17.
Great amp for pub gigs. Bump.
An amazing amp for £80
 18.
very nice it is too, by chance is there more than one of these, as I cannot be dead certain but I could have sworn I played one in a shop in London about 3 years ago. The face on the neck looks the same and it was a twin pup Modulus.
Hi, no theres just the one, it will have been the same bass as it was in the gallery in london before barrie owned it

 20.
http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk/stock.htm the blue one at the top OMG my god i nearly just cu....... er did something childish. i want me one of these,it's bloody gorgeous. i bet it plays as good as it looks too. any of you got a Shuker J bass & if so do you want to swap it for my MIA '62 P bass ? well i have to ask
I thought the exact same thing. When i saw it on the background i was amazed and then when i saw it was for sale, it was nearly too much. If i wasn't having one custom made i would have snapped it up the second it came on the site, personally i think you should do me a favor and buy it
