1. Im sure amps have come a long way since then, i know jamie steward used to use G&K stuff when the cult got bigger. Barry from the SDC used peavey stuff.
2.
Checkout the Cult, live at the lyceum on you tube.......... Jamie Stewart's stingray played with a pick is for me one of the greatest sounds of all time, up there with Geddy lee, Chris Squire, and John Entwhistle. Neill
Also check out the southern death cult on you tube, i bought one just because of how thes two players sounded back in the day. Couldnt get on with the width of the neck though. 6. Cheer's jake, it'll be put to good use
7. Bought old peavey amp off jake, top guy to deal with.
8. Bump, can also double as a table extension for those big christmas get together's
9.
800w 1x15 BW... are you sure? It's a cheap enough cab and Peavey's are highly under-rated but I'm not sure that I've ever seen an 800w BW driver. <edit> Sorry, just realised that it may well be 800w if you're quoting peak or prog rating!
Yes its the program rating, these cabs are no longer fitted with black widow speakers. Just the cheaper sheffield spec ones
10.
What's the weight? Cheers
The weight according to the spec sheet that came with it is 75lbs
11. £60 plus postage, has the odd mark or two on the vinyl. But sound
12. His other bass is ageing nicely, pick from a couple of years back.
13. He's been quoted as saying he smashed up the wrong bass, although this one was so heavy it used to give him welts on his shoulder.
14. Still all fits no problem, battery sits just under the input jack with a couple of milimeters to spare.
15. Also done the same mod on a VM jazz, no problems.
16. Pass, previous to that i had a go on one around at our drummers house. That also felt lighter than my VM squier, so it was a bit of a relief to find a heavier one with a bit more tone out the. When it comes to me buying a CV i'll make sure its not a lightweight one.
17. Picked up two in my local guitar shop and i recon they varied by a couple of pounds in weight.
18. My first bass was a hondo rick, mine was sunburst with dot markers on the neck. Only ever used it through a 50 watt combo, at the time it sounded great to my ears. Would love to find it, just to see if it really was crap or not.
19. Haha was going to pm you mike about popping over and giving it a try funnily enough
20. Its a good price, not really up on ashdown stuff to know if there's much differance between the mag stuff and the abm heads ?
21. Have also noticed the peavey tour 450 comes with a 5 year warranty
22. Forgot the other thing is its got to be repairable, my local amp tec shook his head a while back when i mentioned G&K. Had a little 250watt G&K back in the mid 90's and loved it. Not sure if its down to digital stuff or printed circuits thats the problem.
