1. Available on the red button today, what a great bass player barry adamson is.
2. My mistake, its on the elevation tour dvd. Happens on at the end of the world.
3. I'll have to look, might be im thinking of the wrong dvd.
4. Its a great dvd, love the bit where the edge kicks his rickenbacker across the stage. DVD of this tour being filmed this weekend in america, also being streamed live onto utube on sunday night.
5. Marker pen on rear of neck is from playing in far to many dark dingy places in the early 90's, but as rayman says these are very faint. I realy shouldnt have got rid of this
6. Same guy has also been selling sx bass's on ebay also, could be re badged sx's
7.
I think they look great! Theyre like a super cool looking Jazz with a 2band EQ (not saying Jazz's arent cool looking enough to begin with) Although i would love to mod one to have a pair of Jazz-Humbuckers (like rio-grande powerbuckers or something) Change the pickup on/off switches to Single/Humbucking Switches for each pickup and possibly change the third for a Midrand Boost switch or something.
G.A.K have a stagg bass that looks a lot like a jag for £139, one piece alder body etc might make a cracking project for better electrics.
8. Was chatting to a bass player friend on friday night at a gig about the jag. He had one but couldnt get on with it, although he says on hindsight he didnt give it a real go. He thought his was short scale.
9. I'd love it more in white, opinions still divided on it though. Whats your opinion on it compaired to a jazz bass ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXWMkRcqlO4 Sounding good here though
10. Only moving on subject to another neck ive got my eye on.
11. Will watch this with interest. Maybe a big name non metal player should use one to turn it into a GAS ^_^
12. Just a feeler at the minute, thinking of shifting the maple neck of the prose bass i bought. No idea on the make of neck but its straight and the frets are good, at present it has a white headstock with a fender logo. But could easily by rubbed back to the laquer. Comes with machine heads, looking for £60 plus postage
13. Saw derek forbes playing in kirk brandons 10.51 in the mid 90's, he was playing a vigier back then. Had some good basslines, but they were all stan stammers lines.
14. Sounds like a lot of hassle, for playing with a bunch of cocks with big ideas and little get up and go themselves. Like the late great joe strummer said" a band has to be firing on all fours"
15. G.A.K does these http://www.staggmusic.com/products/product...k&oneid=538 for £139, if the standard jag electrics are'nt great one of these would be great to rip apart and put some good electrics in.
16. Watched magazine on later last night, barry adamson plays a jag. Great sound, but doesnt sound overly active. 19. Any good builders merchant will also have the type of saw that B&Q use, plus have a better variety of ply. Got mine cut at the local buildcentre merchants. Worked out about £22 for a sheet of 8x4 12mm wbp ply.

jazz project

Bit more tidied up and t cut a little, plus headstock sprayed etc.
21. Vmj's have different size pick ups. If yours are the same size like the mexican stuff, emg do a set for that bass.

ESP J800

You really need to swop it for a more modern esp

jazz project

Back together again, good sounds with the MM pick up but a J in the front will smooth things out (just got an old pick up in the front until i order an emg one, not wired up) needs a bit more t cutting and a bit of tidying around the route.
