    Short-scale Sterling by MM Stingray also announced! That looks very nice but likely to be around £2k - which is the price a near-new personal import is up for on here. Don't forget the various Maruszczyk s-s basses that have been on offer for a while btw!

    Best small amp head I've tried (and owned for a couple of years now) is the Eden WTX264. No longer available new but there's been one hanging around on here for a while (may be gone now). For me the tones thru my BF One 10 are sublime, and I speak as one who gigged nothing but TE stuff for most of my playing life.

    This is what I'm currently gigging, 800+ is switchable down to 2ohms btw. You would have to be careful running it through a single 4ohm Two 10 though.

    Does this adjustable Tonepump stuff apply to my Bantam? It has a couple of EMG 35DC pups and BTS EQ (allegedly 🙂).

    She's got a decent bass groove going there. Only really know her first 2 albums but that that muddy, semi-acoustic, old-school bass tone works really well on those.

    My Andyjr1515 'special' is just about ready so it's time to put my lovely Elwood up for sale. Scale-length is 30" with a 22-fret maple board, 40mm nut width, zero fret, 2 SD J Quarter Pounders, weighs approx 3.5kg and strung with La Bella flats. In practically-new condition, this is a sweet-playing bass that's easy on the eye - and the shoulder! Price includes a very nice Maru' s-s gig-bag. I'd prefer that buyer collects but am happy to deliver or meet within a 50-mile radius of M5 J25. Otherwise buyer arranges/pays for collection/delivery.

    Not sure how much you want to spend but I would recommend a Maruszczyk Jake (P) or Elwood (J). Made in Poland and marketed from Germany, these are top-quality but reasonably priced basses. You can buy from the constantly-changing stock in their online shop or, if you can't find exactly what you want, they will build a bass to your specification normally in 10-12 weeks. https://www.public-peace.de/
