I loved the Rio DVD, especially the tone Geddy had, but I've not heard much from them lately. I'm hoping it's in DD5.1. It was just by chance I heard the announcement, I don't tend to watch Sky Arts much and am always missing good stuff.

I just noticed this will be on Sky arts 1 tomorrow night at 10pm. Both HD and SD. It's the 2007 Rotterdam gig by the looks of it, I've not seen this yet. Can't wait.

Maybe the mods will move this thread in to the Repairs and Technical issues section with all the other set up threads, although i expect it will get more views here. For me the Lakland one hits the nail on the head.

Im still loving mine. Thanks to GW's neck change thread i realised how much nicer the red version looks with a maple neck, so ive got a Maple Lakland JO neck on mine. Still dont like the colour but i can live with it. White would be perfect. Thinking about putting a Fralin in it at the moment but it would need to be a second hand one as these cost about half what a new CVP costs. The Fender 62RI pup i have in it now is fine but having owned Fralins in the past i think that would round off the modifications just nicely.

It does look pretty cool. Just a heads up that Apple do refurbished iPad2's for around £289 or less, fully guaranteed.

Chromes on mine at the moment. I prefer nicks but every now and then i go through a Flats phase. It normally starts of with Chromes as they are quite bright compared to a lot of flats, then after a while ill probably put a set of TI's back on, and then get fed up with the lack of over tones and go back to rounds for a few months. I have just discovered the benefit of using a foam mute so maybe the flats will last a bit longer this time.

We could combine a few suggestions if the weather is good and meet at More London, jump on a boat at Tower Pier (one with a bar of course, or bring our own and head up river to Greenwich, drink and eat watercress sandwiches (well we are bass players) then head back to central London for late afternoon. We could then go and stand outside the stage door at the RFH to get a glimpse of Marcus.

Timely thread as i did my first gig with a bit of spong under the strings last weekend and was rather impressed with the tone. I did find it a bit of a pain taking it out and putting it back quickly (giggady) so on the look out for something better. The Bass mute is a bit too costly at the mo but i had seen the Muffler on YT and wondered if anyone was using them.

So let's add a bin bag each to the list and we can recreate Glastonbury without the enflated cost.

Just my thinking but if I'm gigging that evening then I won't be drinking so would prefer a pub with a view if it's nice. Not saying I won't go though.

Well i would have to say all those Sat's are out for me as ill be gigging but the Sundays are clear at the moment (and probably will stay that way).

How many people do the London Eye capsules hold lol. That would be interesting. Im in if its not on a gig day (for me).......and no bloody Jazz either ;-)

The only thing i dont like about them is the price :-( It would be nice if Squier made some fanned fret basses lol.
