2. Another bump Cash is king at the moment, but I've already dropped the price £100, so to be flexible I would be interested in the following trades: * A nice acoustic or electro-acoustic guitar * Nikon-fit lenses for my SLR camera (ideally primes, rather than zooms - a Nikon 35mm f2 AF-D would be great as would Nikon-fit Zeiss or Voigtlander MF) Thanks
3. Recently bought this unique filter-based pedal in anticipation of a change in direction for our band (based around playing live over loops and beats). Well, to cut a long story short this isn't going to happen. Great fun playing with this amazing pedal at home but may be willing to let this go for the £220 that I paid originally. Link to Moog site and a fine review on this very site: Moog Bass MuRF Basschat Moog Bass MuRF review Just ping me a PM with any interest (no trades thanks) Thanks Stu

5.
About an hour, but not always, sometimes we rehearse about 15 minutes away. If it was any further I'd be a bit grumpy about it.
same here - about an hour, but I try to arrange work on the same day with a client in the same area (I'm self-employed) so I have another reason to go.
6. PM replied - still available for the moment
7.
My main one has to be randomly coming across Jools Holland's TV show and seeing one of my acquaintances (I used to do some jazz/blues stuff with him and did a couple of musicals with him too) from my year at my school playing on it this week with his band Stornoway. Crazy stuff. Really random to see someone who you used to play music with doing so well. Happy for him though and it must have been incredible for him
What a result... and what a line up - Jay Z, Foo Fighters, Sting, Norah Jones... the Stornoway guys looked a tad nervous and I can understand why!!
8.
Liking that grille! Liking the Max!
thanks Gareth - the grille was a bit of a risk and really pleased how it worked out Getting great sound out of the Max at home and just need a bit of time to get that sound dialled in at volume (so many knobs )
9. My back is safe! New lightweight rig (15kg total !!!) ShuttleMax 12.0 plus Barefaced Compact (pimped in 'salt & pepper' - "push it real good" ) Apols for the light moire effect on the photo - decided not to take up a whole page with the image

11. Is this the 8ohm or 4ohm version? (an old gag, but suggest trying the "For sale: Other musically related stuff" section of the forum if it's a geetar)
12. have a bump on me I bought one of these recently and it sounds great. This is the cheapest way of getting great synth sounds
13. PM replied - thanks for the offer, but still available
14.
If that TecAmp stuff didn't come up then I was due to PM you an offer towards the end of last week. This is great cab man and I was sure I was gonna have it off you. Good luck with the sale
Thanks Ben - timings' everything isn't it
15. Edit style-y bump - would consider possible trade for good quality electro-acoustic guitar
16. Weekend bump Will probably keep this cab to pair with my new cab for gigs if it doesn't sell in next couple of weeks or so
17. Right I'm really serious this time - now reduced to £325 Come on people - seriously good cab, in fabulous condition, at an insane price - what's not to like Need to move this cab on to make room for incoming GAS
18.
Roland Bass Cube 100 (?? - loud enough??)
Unfortunately the answer is 'no' unless you are only playing with a VERY restrained drummer. The bass cube 100 is great (I had one for a while) but just can't cut it volume-wise with a full drum-kit. With our drummer it had no chance
19. Like it or not marriage is about compromise I'd try to find a way for it to work, by both giving a little (reduce number of gigs rather than stop altogether etc) Ultimately the wife would win, particularly as we have such wonderful kids That said, in reality she'd be so busy watching "Location, Location, Location" or 'Britain's best left-handed chef" on Sky 12 that she wouldn't notice I was even gone to a gig
20.
Markbass is nice, the LMII is a nice amp but I'd like to hear the LM800 tube, - And then there's this.......... Anyone done an A/B yet?
I tried a LM Tube at Andertons and couldn't see much difference between that and a LMII. Didn't sound very tubey to my ears. May be worth trying it out as it's just down the road. If you want another go on a Shuttle you're welcome to try my Max
21. Just bought a ShuttleMax 12.0 secondhand from USA. If that is anything to go by the Shuttle 9.0 should sound really sweet
22. I live locally to Andertons and have generally had really good experiences (tend to avoid Saturdays which are really busy) when you get a chance to try out some gear they generally leave you to it rather than pester you, which I prefer. That way I was able to narrow down my lightweight amp decision (they stock TC and MB there) but the bass set up issue is unfortunately a bit hit and miss in most guitar shops these days If you pick the right member of staff they can be really helpful, less so with the Saturday staff, and they also laid on free Logic 9 seminar recently which was amazing. Sorry your experiences were not the same, but most importantly good luck with the op
