1. Very pleased with my 'new' UL310 (thanks to Ari) based on experiences over the first few days... very light, powerful, punchy sound with a solid low end. Only tried in the house (at non-divorce inducing volumes ) so far, but really, really looking forward to band practice tomorrow
 2. Hey Emmanuel Welcome to Basschat!! Pretty much everyone on the site thinks they're not up to scratch (we're bass players after alll...not lead guitarists ) so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Best way to get up confidence is to practice regularly with a band, so try and get together with others and play to get used to locking in with the drummer etc. If you're already doing that, then why not have a chat to the guys you mentioned to pick up some tips. If you need some technical tips post specific question on that section of this site. Cheers and good luck! Stu
 3.
sold to onehappybunny - cheers for the smooth transaction mods please delete thread, thanks
Cheers, Ari and have fun in Paris - very jealous of your muso year off!!

 5. If it's just for around the house and the schro'/LMII is for gigs why not go for a PJ briefcase, rather than suitcase? Just a thought....
 6. thanks for the comments guys - looking forward to it!
 7.
I fall in to one of the above categories I'm afraid. As tempting as the offer is (and as fun as it sounds) at 34 I'd look like your Dad standing on stage with you. If I were 10 years younger...
I'm 36 and almost joined a band with some guys at work who are in early-mid twenties... needless to say I came to my senses after my wife suggested that me playing in same band with me would like playing with the Headmaster (for my sins, I'm the HR Director there) Good luck finding bassist... reckon the NME link is a good starting point
 8. Hi Folks I'm really looking forward to getting 'my' new Epifani UL310 cab (thanks to Ari), although it will be sad to see my Yammies go (thanks to Jase) I can't read enough about it... so to help build up the excitement would be interested in your stories about how luvverly this cab is! Thanks Stu

 10. Frank Sounds like a rather serious case of GAS. It's so easy to get carried away on this site, so may be worth asking yourself 'is it REALLY needed?'
If I'm honest with myself the LM II + Schroeder 1212L isn't big either and does all volumes at a gig but .....
If you decide 'yes' then go for it (subject to reviews and all that), but I sensed from your post that you weren't 100% clear on that Cheers Stu
 11.
The UL310 is now for sale, £500 collection only in London, N1.
you have a p.m. Sir

 15. SS pre and power for me. Yamaha BBT500h (modelling amp used as a pre) and Behringer EP1500 power amp to provide plenty of uuummph!!!
 16.
Which thread has those mp3s, sir?
Try here, Sir!!! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...erson&st=20
 17. Just listening to some MP3's of the great man playing (solo - no other instruments, kindly provided on another thread) when my wife turns round and says 'is that you playing?' Ha! Ha! If only! Now, I ought to qualify this by saying that I'm barely competent on the bass, my wife knows nothing about music, even less about bass playing and was not concentrating while reading the paper at the time... but it made me feel good
 18. Fantastic - really glad this buy worked out for you...and this is going to make a mean looking stack on stage!! Would be good if you had some pics to go along with your live review.
 19.
Had it a week and it's surplus to requirements already - it was bought new and I used it once last night when it travelled by car boot rather than van. £35 plus postage at cost.
PM'd - Sounds perfect for my new pre/power set up
 20.
I've just bought a beautiful EBS Neo 4 ohm cab and may be interested again in trying this in the near future, if it's still available.
Hiya Alas it's no longer for sale. I have used the significant time this amp has been for sale to find a way to make it work for me and I've realised that it's a blooming brillant pre-amp I reckon it would be a little underpowered paired with one 4 ohm cab unless you are just playing small jazz style venues. Paired with a power amp it's excellent (see amended first posting) Cheers Stu
 21. I play these guys... DeArmond Jet Star Bass http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...-Star+Bass/10/1 Gretsch Electromatic Junior Jet http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...Junior+Jet/10/1 Both sound great @ 31" and 30". I play 60's soul and rock and they work really well for that traditional sound. You'll only be able to get these second hand as I don't think either is made anymore - could try t'bay. Cheers Stu
