1. As everyone says Chris is 'a top bloke' (they're right ) and pleasure to deal with when buying my Ric pick-ups Good comms, prompt payment etc. (he even chucked a bit in for postage, even though this was not asked for) Highly recommended!
2. Mike is a top bloke and highly recommended. He drove all the way from Ipswich to Surrey to pick up my Ibanez bass and still arrived with a smile on his face, despite the journey. Smooth payment, collection and communication all the way
3.
Travelled down to Godalming from Ipswich on Saturday to pick-up and pay for the Ibanez AGB200. Stuart is a great guy to deal with, good communication via phone and e-mail. The pick-up went very well, the bass is as described and I wouldnt hesitate to buy from him again. Thanks
Thanks Mike - glad you're enjoying the bass
4. DeArmond Jet Star with Thomastik flats (not sure of gauge) 3rd 2mm 12th 3.5mm 17th 5.5mm Rough measurements with ruler
5. Thanks Alan - they are real nice cabs but fancy a change Sure you can't be tempted?
6. Now I have only one bass no point having this Bit tatty, but still works and has the padded divider to protect both basses. Orginally received for free from Basschat, so just passing on the free bass gear love Collection from near Guildford Cheers Stu
7. Bumpage for reduced price Come on folks bargain for a high quality bit of gear
8. EDIT - In a fit of insanity decided to lop another £50 off the price to make way for incoming Now just £325 for an insanely good cab Loopy deal that should make someone very happy Possibly consider trades for good quality acoustic or electro-acoustic guitar / Nikon SLR camera lenses GAS has prompted me to decide to sell my Dr Bass 1580 cab (pic and specs below) Great cab with 15" and 8" speakers and a tweeter, with adjustable mids and tweeter via dials on the side of the cab to get a range of sounds from the deep warm bass sound to a more mid-range and zing (I opt for the former rather than the latter, but then I'm not a slapper or a rock god ) It has a really tough coating which makes it really easy to look after - as a result it's in excellent condition and looks new. 450 watts RMS Neo 1x15, 8" mid w/horn 3-way X-over w/ mid and HF level control 40HZ to 20kHZ 102 dB 1W1M 8 ohms 24.25"h x 20.75"w x 17.5"d 52 lbs. Neodymium Looking for [s]£425 ono[/s] reduced to [s]£400[/s] [s]£375[/s] NOW JUST £325 for quick sale Cheers Stu
9. Can't find one of me playing bass, so here's one taken by my 6 year old daughter...
10. GAS has also prompted me to decide to also sell my Dr Bass 1580 cab EDIT - decided to move to separate post as it was getting confusing. See link below: Dr Bass 1580 cab for sale
11. great track and fantastic feel to it... have an aversion to bass solos tho' - technically impressive but...
12.
Awesome condition! PS....are you tempted by the Berg 12ERs also?! Me too....
Thanks - it's in great nick, and yeh, tempted by the Bergs, but also by Alex's Compact and Midget cabs...hhhmmm...
13. Just tried the Little Mark Tube out at Andertons in Guildford. Nice bassy sound, but very little difference between the solid state and valve pre's One of my favourite live sounds was a function band a couple of years back with a LM into two MB cabs, but when I play them they sound a bit muffled (even when going easy on the VLE control)
14.
Another Pm.
Thanks - PM replied
15. Thanks for the kind words fellas Pm's replied to and still available
16. High quality Boschma 6u rack case for sale Light use (few rehearsals and one gig) since buying couple of months ago, so in great condition. Great way to protect your gear, but no longer needed as I'm going lightweight Can post pics of the lids if needed, but they're in excellent condition also Looking for £65 (with collection from near Guildford or plus P&P) Just pm any interest Cheers Stu
17. Selling my 'as new' Lexicon MX300 rack multi-effects unit. Bought it couple of months ago, but then decided to sell my rackmount amp and go lightweight... doh! Anyway, this is a high quality rack unit that can be used for bass, guitar, keys or vocals and it handles compression, reverb, chorus, delay etc. with up to two effects at a time. It's a doddle to programme (I'm a bit of a luddite and even I managed to work it out within 5 mins without even consulting the manual!) and can also be connected via USB to your computer / DAW for use as outboard effects to save overloading your processor. Further info and reviews below: Lexicon MX300 Harmony Central reviews I'm looking for [s]£190[/s] reduced to £170 ono (with collection from near Guildford or plus P&P). Still have the box, manual etc. Just pm any interest or questions Thanks Stu
18. 20. Well, I'm getting close to 40 and my back is telling me I no longer need my lovely Mesa 400+ (that said, if you're after an all valve amp it's one of the lighter ones) I am the third owner of the amp (still have the original receipt) and it appears that it has been very well cared for. Very slight scratch in the paint on the right hand handle is just about visible, but otherwise it's in excellent condition. Needless to say it sounds lush  and they have recently been discontinued fairly recently so you can't get them new I have changed the drive valve for a Mullard ECC81 which adds to the smooth valvey tone and makes the EQ much more responsive. However, I can include the original drive valve should someone want to change back. Will post some photos over the next day or two but (to save you google-ing them) here's some reviews below: Mesa 400+ reviews Lexicon MX300 reviews Ideally I'd like to sell it with the Boschma black 6U case and Lexicon MX300 rack effects unit (I've only just bought both... doh!... and they are as new) and would be asking £1,000 for the lot. Appreciate it's a bit of a long-shot selling these all together, so if you are only interested in one or two of these just pm me what you think is a fair offer. In the unlikely event that you have a R500, Shuttle Max, Shuttle 6.0 / 112T combo, Barefaced Compact, or Bergantino 112ER we may be able to agree a partial trade. EDIT - I have also decided to sell my Dr Bass 1580 cab for £425 ovno (scroll down for details) I'm based near Guildford in Surrey if anyone is interested and wants to try it out Cheers Stu
21. apparently Robert Sledge (Ben Folds Five) also used one on their first album - great bass sound
