1. For sale is a fretless jazz neck I've just taken off my bitsa bass. Brought a couple of months ago from CH Guitars, it was originally fretted but I defretted it because they had no stock of fretless necks. It's a good job, even though I say it myself. I've taken the decal off that was originally on the the face of the headstock so it could probably do with a quick sand and reshoot of a bit of lacquer but this is only a five minute job. *** SOLD!!!! ***
2. Sorry, not been on for a few days. Yup, still got the cab. Drop us a PM for more details.
3. The first time I've seen this band. Awesome. Cheers Gaf!
4.
Lol? NO!!! DON'T!!! Think about it first and the novelty will surely wear off...looks ghastly to me but I like gaudy Charvel graphics so who am I to trust
Get thee away. Glee is good. All hail the sparkle!
5. Oh god yeah. I saw this last night on Mark's site. The Lull version would no doubt blow the Fender Custom Shop version out the water. Anyone wanna buy a kidney?
6. Got them in most of the stuff I own. I'd agree with Spoombung, its absolute rubbish that they're "clinical" and "soulless". I've never found that at all. I think they're crisp and punchy running at 18v and I think the more neutral quality of them tends to let the instrument shine a bit more than "coloured" pickups. Again, not for everyone but hey, vive la difference..... T
7. Hubba hubba, that looks fantastic.
8. Bumpity bump. Roll up for a top cab in top condition! PRICE DROP TOO!
9. Ummmmm. Lovely. Where you based?
10. Price drop bump for a fab drum kit. Looking to shift asap in order to fund a Warwick Thumb or Euro Spector so need to free up some cash. Come on folks, hit me with an offer ;-)
11. Price drop to £300 type bump for a fantastic cab. Looking for a quick sale so I can boost my Thumb bass / Euro Spector 5 fund. Got something lined up and want to free up some funds. Prefer collection but shipping to mainland UK included. T
12. Lovely. Thumb GAS hurting SOOOOOOOO bad now!
13. Epic bass. Lusting after a Euro 5 and this would be on my list and the Lakland would go but the timing just ain't right. Bah. Bumpy for such a wonderful instrument. T
14. Is it my imagination but didn't you used to have EBS gear Tony? Why not go back to a Proline 410 or a Neo 410? I've just returned to a single EBS Proline 410 after a couple of years away and to be honest, I couldn't be happier at the moment. I know it's as heavy as a heavy thing with an elephant sitting on top but maaaannnn, it's fantastic having that presence and volume again. A set of detatchable castors on the bottom has all but sorted the weight concerns I had. Alternatively, I'd +1 on the Ampeg 410HLF. Had one of these and it was a fantastic single solution, a real massive sound and looked the part. Big and heavy but the grab handle and tilt back castors made it easy to move around. Tony
15.
That bloke from CS! New York Gary Sinese? plays bass on the show. Apparently, he's got his own band.
There's also that bloke from Good Luck Charlie on The Disney Channel. Bob. Just so there's no misunderstanding, my 7 year old daughter watches it. Not me. Right?! Are we clear?!
16. PM'd
17.
I enjoyed Nile Rodgers book a great deal - if you haven't read it and are going to be laid up for a while longer, PM your address and I'll post it to you.
+1 Read that a few weeks ago on holiday. Top quality autobiog, really details Niles early life and is incredibly open and honest on his battles with additiction throughout his life. The part which talked about Bernard Edwards passing away was very emotional, unsurprising considering the long and deep friendship they shared.
