    Its ok - 40 patterns of all kinds. You can change the tempo plus there's a metronome.

    If I have an amp head with send/return plus one input - is there any way I can use a drum machine? My practice amp has aux input and larger amps I want to upgrade to don't. I do not need a gig solution, just home use Thanks

    I've been there. Don't spend it all on a bass, you need a decent amp too. Buy used for best value, I recommend fender japan, and recent squiers. A pricey bass won't make you better than a cheap one, but you'll fight it less and most of the struggle is at the beginning. Make it easier for yourself.
