  1. But these things were very variable. There was not a single day when Leo said “3 bolt necks from now on”, they used up the parts they had and those transitional models are out there somewhere
  2. You probably don’t need it any more then. I’ll use it more, honestly. It’s what Leo would have wanted so donate it to me in his memory
  3. I think that one again, basschat has proved itself to be the right place to be
  4. I’d say it’s a refin for sure. I wouldn’t worry about pots being a year or two out from neck and body serial. Fender had large parts bins and even necks and bodies weren’t often made at the same time. that said, I’d still walk away for that money
  5. I will be in touch if I get my payout soon 🤞
  6. Like “how far to go?” “f***ing light years, followed by a lengthy wait in Customs”
  7. I’d have delivered it to your door for that price. I’d have expected a guitard’s head on a spike as a tip obviously
  8. And the person playing that is so far out of my league that they are, actually, playing a different sport
  9. Well, I’ve got wood …
  10. I think that bass looks perfect for a chair user
  11. Perhaps from a pre 2012 US FENDER before they added CS pups? Therefore no markings
  12. Mine had only bobbin codes they were geddy lee pickups
  13. Agree. I had one. are there any codes on the top of the bobbin? Ie under the black covers next to the pole pieces ?
  14. I found the secret answers were case sensitive, not sure if that is intentional
  15. I do like the look of the 70s large headstock models, they remind me of pelicans
  16. And you know, using a cloth to clean, was so not a thing back then back before fabric was invented
  17. Has a cool purple power led
  18. Sell it, make good some of your losses and walk away. When they have to replace it they might think twice about not being reasonable
  19. The great Julia who can actually play bass whilst riding a unicycle.
  20. Huge thanks @greghagger for today and helping make some sense of these events above as well as other topics
  21. Looks pretty good. Thumbs up
  22. I forgot to say thanks for creating porridge …
  23. I’ve not had that feeling in 15 years, the memory grows dim
