[/quote] They all have saddle bridges so I'm unsure how you'd fix intonation. You can fix action fairly easily by sanding the saddle

I've got exactly this bass The action was high so bridge needed sanding down The volume is as rhysp says Useful for banging out ideas in the corridor but needs an amp to perform

My One Is a bass doc precision, it always gets picked up first and always sounds awesome. I wouldn't sell it

Hohner b2a - it's nicely competent, and it's small enough to hide in the car for lunchtime practice but it's just not floating my boat

not a gig specifically, but I went to an open mic night at church and played Folsom Prison Blues - not the most exciting bass line but the audience loved it. I turned down the tone to match the double bass sound on the original. The guy I play with is all-acoustic and I think he likes the bigger sound even if my meagre talents are not at his level. We start and end at the same time and I keep time so I guess its all good. My six year old wants to come along but its past her bedtime.

[/quote] I live in the sticks and it's taken ages to find someone that I can play with and not feel that I'm being carried, even given my modest talents and I frankly don't care what we play. I like the buzz of playing alongside someone and lifting their sound and complimenting mine. I don't care who they are as long as it works. Any track we do, whether I like it or hate it, is chucked together that evening so it's raw and you can see the bones sticking out. Enjoy the opportunity that you have

I have four basses, a zoom and a combo A p bass workhorse A hohner b2 for lunchtime practise An acoustic for OM night where I have no amp A stingray copy for sentimental reasons - partner bought it for me I don't think gas has too tight a hold on me
