I use a zoom b2 into a little MP3 amp off amazon "aroma" Has small speaker too so I can play along in a quiet room at OM nights If you have an iPhone or iPad then tonestack app is worth a look too

I have a tanglewood odyssey with an artec apc pro. Previous owner fitted a battery box on upper bout. I chased and found a fault in the junction block that joined the battery box The preamp still doesn't work (I'm pushing the batt check button and it doesn't light up, new 9v batt checked with a multimeter Does anyone have one or experience of one ? Do I need to plug in a lead to get it to work? Do they "burn"?

I would get a multimeter and check each piece wire for continuity
