1.
I've two Warwick's for sale... NT Streamers though (and one is a fretless )!
I 'think' I know I want a BO Corvette $$ from 2009 or later. I think.
 2.
Nigel If I could at all help you on this difficult journey you are undertaking, I would... Why not keep the fender, and save up for a Warwick, an just enjoy both
Yeah I know, mate. But I just spent a LOT of money on the car, and I promised myself long ago, no new money on the instruments.
 3. This is too funny! See what I just posted in the Bass Guitars section. I want a Warwick again, and thinking of selling my red Jazz. I really miss my old Corvette $$.
 4. Well, well, bloody well. I am missing my Warwick Corvette $$. I'm thinking of selling this to get a recent SH one with the very shallow Jazz style neck. This 'un now has a J-Retro 01, it sounds gorgeous, it looks gorgeous, but I miss 24 frets and the Warwick ergonomics. I'm such a flake. After all the things I said about it, how amazing it is, how it speaks to me, how utterly wonderful the neck is (all true aswell) I'm missing the Warwick vibe. Never thought I would. How sad am I? f***ing sad.
 5. Bang on mate! An I'm sneezing this sh*t! There's great music about. We should paytention to the DJs at our gigs.
 6. I just found the official video so I've replaced the previous fanboi one in the OP with it.
 7.
Hallo! Looking and sounding fantastic! One of my students took a pic of me with my MPC in my studio which is still awaiting the rest of its surgery (the bass, not the studio) - the bottom horn still requires thinning down and the top is to be thinned a tad - and the lower edge of the body is still a bit pointy - the real thing is slightly flatter! The bass is at an angle (I see when I'm with you!!) too so looks a bit thin across the top side etc. Nice hat eh?
Doctor, the hat looks daft, the bass looks ace! What's the progress?
 8. Sadly, I can't make it tonight mate, my lady's flying back from working in Scandinavia and it wouldn't feel right to go out and have some fun on my own, had she been at home we'd have both come, she being a bit of a punk in her youth. I hope you have a cracking gig, it should be ace! All the best for it.
 9.
Niceness, ras it up. Great vibes Think i may look for the album mi self
Haha! I thought you would like it I was thinking of PMing you with a link to this thread. Glad you found it
 10.
I can find out what he uses but we share the same rehearsal room and last week I saw a Peavey TNT Bass combo in there!!!
Ahh, the classic rehearsal room combo. The one we use has a puke-worthy Behringer stack. Does the job for rehearsal though.
 11.
I downloaded 'Red' this morning. Nice track, maybe download the album. Anyone know what bass gear he's using...............I somehow doubt it's a Skjold through Genz Benz?
Not sure but it's a fairly big rig he's using live. Lovely bass tones on the album. He plays a lovely line on a ska track, really nice! In fact the whole production is great, clean and deep and very nice on the ears. I had the album on the headphones for about four hours last night and never got tired of it, no stupid maxed out mastering.
 12.
The keyboard player in my band Zang Tang is also the keys player in Laid Blak!! I will pass on your comments to him tomorrow.
Christ, brilliant! Please do. I've been listening to the album on my mp3 player all night tonight Love it! The DJ was DJ Postscript who's the resident DJ for Cargo in London, and for Unstable Promotions who we played for last night at Proud Galleries Camden. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=115710658506586 He was really good! I will check out Zang Tang too mate! All the best.
 13. Played a gig last night and Mr DJ put this on while we were setting up. I went, sh*t! What's the f*** is this, baby?! He said Laid Blak, good aren't they! They certainly are! I bought the album today. Some lovely bass on this too, and, well it's all good. The lyrics are interesting too, not what you think they might be at the start. Also check out Bristol Love, another great number of theirs with an official video. EDIT: I just found the official video so I've replaced the previous fanboi one with it. I've not stopped listening to this album since I got it yesterday, it's really, REALLY GOOD!
 14.
I just found out that Sharay Reed will be playing for R. Kelly on his European tour which brings him to the Hammersmith Apollo sometime next month. I think I will be there to watch a monster bassist playing for a great artist! Happy People baby!
I won't be going but that is lovely news for a lovely bass player. I wondered when he might get picked up properly and get out of the church.
 15.
Break a leg, Nige. I would like to come along but have promised to see BurritoBass' gang at the Half Moon in Putney tonight
have a splendid time Clarky! See you soon mate. Give Burrito my best for a great night
 16.
Essential listening http://www.ryan-larson.com/ryandavidbirdla...ianovocals.html P.s. Is this what Bilbo wants more funding for?? I'm not that up to date with jazz.
Check this dude OUT! 17. Right, I'm off, see you all there
 18.
This is the best thing I've seen all day......
I actually think the poor guy may have some kind of problem, clearly he has an enviable lifestyle though Here is his website http://www.ryan-larson.com/
 19.
I've seen some junk by Expertvillage but these clips take the biscuit. That hip hop drumming one is hilarious!
The guy is amazing! The Hip Hop drums is fantastic! Come on, he's got to be a satirist, surely? Not many people can come across that creepy and incompetent by accident.
 20. The onboard J-Retro is a fabulous bit of kit and should fit most Jazzes. What are your cavity length, width and depth?
 21.
When you gigging near Brighton again mate? Want to see you strut your funky stuff live, but cant easily get very far at the mo... Cant help thinking you'd look like this dude live:- Which is no bad thing!
No idea mate, but Krupa's manager may be getting some gigs sorted for the single and album releases out so we'll see. Why do I keep getting these muppet comparisons? I must take a damn good look in the mirror and sort it out! Cheers mate.
 22.
Have a good one Nige. Rehearsal for Friday's gig prohibits attendance unfortunately.
I hope Friday goes well mate, that'll be a cracker! There's a small chance I might make it but I have another commitment at the moment. Let's see. Cheers, N
 23. A bump to remind you this is TONIGHT. be there or be, er, elsewhere.
 24. What's the deal with the cruddy picture of the 4001 with a reverse headstock? Like a sh*t jpeg they found on a sh*t website. A lot of the images are very badly Photoshopped. Look at the awful pics of the ZONs where pesumably it was amateur hour with the pen tool and paths.
 25.
In all seriousness a criminally underated band. The Transmitters Ahead of their time art rockers.
Cheers for that mate! They were so good, really looking forward to this. I get to play with a drummer I've always wanted to play with at this gig, Jim Chase. He's fantastic, he really and truly has a voice on the kit.
