SOLD

PM's answered...trades will depend on what's offered...not in any great hurry to get rid of this bass to be honest.
  8.
Victor Wooten - can't stand that guy.
+1...anybody that nice has got to be sus...gimme Jaco and his arrogance any day of the week.
  9. I love Jaco...but then again i have propensity for liking the lame dogs and misfits of this world.
  10. Looks to me like he was brushing his big Japanese teeth and decided to have a chew at the neck pocket before he rinsed.
  11.
It appears that you can say arse. I have that dummies book and I think it's really good, something for all bass players regardless of level. I really must start on the reading music section (he said for the umpteenth time).
I have it too...haven't started it yet though, my playing can testify to that... i'm still trying to get through Reading for Dummies, but i find myself in a bit of a Catch 22 situation.
  12.
Someone tell me I'm wrong.
I'm not telling you anything...you might mis-understand it again.
  13.
I believe he is simply summarising the general argument that is made for vintage basses and guitars: old ones are good and new ones are not.
...you don't say? and there was me thinking that he was trying to make out he'd tried them all
  14.
THIS INSTRUMENT IS A QUALITY BASS FAR SUPERIOR THAN ANY MODERN USA
Tried them all have you mate? Talk about hype. Some people
  15.
I think the thread is in good humour and know some gay people who would find it quite amusing !
Of course! it was all done with tongue firmly in cheek...not 'bum cheek' i hasten to add
  16. Someone should tell him that we have 'cupboards' in the UK, not frigging 'closets'...a closet is something a homosexual, not a J bass, comes out of...
  17. I like the 'hockeystick' type headstock...pretty cool looking...not impressed by the way they sound though:
The bass sounds low, but not like bass, it's just low. You can describe as McCartney somewhere from 1964 heard through an radio with 2" speaker.
18.
heya guys upon discussion with my fellow admins at talkbass and the site owner paul, we have decided that we wish to keep talkbass feedback tied solely to transactions taking place at talkbass.com. while we feel for those of you who have experienced bad transactions, and we welcome the information about unsavory characters ripping folks off, we have decided that it is just too difficult to verify the legitimacy of complaints related to transactions not taking place on our boards. please understand that this is in no way an endorsement of the shennanigans that some of you folks have been subjected to, but just a limitation in our ability to guarantee legitimacy. from this point forward, the feedback system will require a link to the transaction on talkbass.com. again, this is not a statement toward the legitimacy of the complaints described in this thread, but just a response to our own limitations in guaranteeing the legitimacy of the feedback system on our forums. thanks folks john turner forum administrator - talkbass.com
Fairy muff...your trainset etc...seems a bit remiss though, guess your members will just have to find out the hardway.
  19. I couldn't get along with the ergonomics of mines...was the bass playing equivalent of wearing my girlfriends pants. Give me a P or a J anyday.
  20. I've put the Bad Ass with pre cut grooves onto my jazz bass and taken the old one without the pre cut grooves off to sell. It does have grooves that have been hand cut, whether these will be bang on for string to pole placement is open to question but it was originally on a P bass if that helps. 21. I see glue sniffing is making a comeback
