Another user, (bought from Mudpup if I remember correctly?) Great amp, has to be the best out there for that kind of money. Only downside I suppose is the DI being permanently pre Eq (and effects I think?). That's how I'd use it anyway so that doesn't bother me personally.

I've been using a B3 in my cover & original bands for a few years now, for a bit of octave, boost/overdrive ( love the 'squeak' ) and preamp/eq. I started putting a small board together to add a compressor (found the ones on the b3 too noisy) using an MS60B but keep going back to just using the B3. So easy to get set up when you get used to it. I even made a footswitch for it to change patches quickly but have found I didn't even need that live. I've found the blend control is key to using it live and am happy with the results, even more so for the price of it!

Got my ticket for Saturday...Third year in a row for me. Its well worth going just to see the masterclasses/live performances IMO. I'll keep going as long as its on, have really enjoyed it the last couple of years. Its a shame that it looks like its going to be limited on the gear side of things, and a bigger shame if that is due to a lack of demand/ticket sales etc.

I was wondering if there was a simple way of increasing the amount of treble I can cut using the pre amp on my Stingray 5. Can I modify the pre amp or do I have to change the whole pre amp to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

I really want to try one of these, and having read this I might have to order one come payday... Been playing my squire vm Fretless Jazz more than anything lately, so much fun to play, especially after a bridge and pick up upgrade.

Got mine today.... It's not terrible, but it's not great, in my opinion Ofcourse. Going to see how it is at volume tomorrow but I doubt I'll be keeping it. Worth a go for the money though and everything is different in different people's hands etc

I've got one of these in order, should be with me soon. Looking forward to trying it out.

Love that! Nice work. I'm saving for the classic, love the way you have to look twice to realize its a 5 string.
Is it your work? Rather more sophisticated than what I've put together.
Afraid not! I'm not sure I could put the effort in to make something like that, I hardly change the patch on mine, I only use about 3/4 of the effects anyway. I did make a footswitch for mine, that did the patch select, drum machine on/off and tap tempo, made jamming with it at home quite fun!

Thought this was worth sharing.... a lot of effort but still pretty cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy3IFQjP-4k

Like the finish, the high frets look a little difficult though.

This is going in our set too. Clean bass for me, sounds great. I think I read somewhere that Jeff Bhasker played keys and bass, not 100% though.

Bit of a thread resurrection but I own a Ray 5 HS, and for pretty much a year I've have it set on the single H, just cuts through a band mix so well. Doing some noodling at home, middle position ( H+S ) with the mid all the way up, wow!! Probably end up flipping the switch back to the bridge in a loud gig setting but still, HS for me purely for the options.
