1. My first 4x10 was a Loud Inc off ebay, great cab!- i used it back then with a Hartke 3500 and i used to cane it loads with dub....needless to say i blew the tweeter within 5 minutes but i didn't need it. Anyhow cut a long story short i had the Loud for around 5 years in various places/bands as a coffee table etc and i sold it about a year ago to a young bassist who is regularly gigging with it now 2-3 time s a month.
2. Hi, are these 300W's as it is or do you have to use an extension cab to get the total 300Watts output ? cheers
3. Yeah i was really lucky to meet the Dr. he bigged up my dub bass at a gig! CCCCCHHHHHAAAAARRRRGGGGEEEE
4. Stir it up- Bob Marley and the Wailers Chocolate City - Parliament High on You -Sly & The Family Stone Legalization (of the Ganja herb) - Culture Can't touch this - MC Hammer Chameleon - Herbie Hancock (albeit on Keys) Baltimore- Sly & Robbie Cholly - Funkadelic Psychoticbumpschool- Bootsy Collins Christopher Columbus - Burning Spear and finally a guilty pleasure....Rio-Duran Duran!!!!
5. Gwan play dem reggae dub riddim wid tone....cha bumbaclot = No tone fe sure.. for me it's just phat belly gully slinking resonance through a giant sound system...there's a lot to be said for just a note thats very loud and very bassy indeed....apparently the earth resonates in Eb-thats just one note - Don't get me wrong i love 'Portrait of Tracy' (thats lots of notes) with tone, but there is a lot to be said for just the bass, big dub tents aka jah Shaka, a Jazz or precision with tone rolled off and a natural smoke machine and 1000's of festinutters-pure and obese bass tone...they're grrrrreeeattt! Irie What am i talking about-try a SUBDUB night (Iration Steppaz)-footlong with reggae reggae bass food Sauce in Leeds!
6. I have a 75 Re-issue USA Jazz, a 98' Japan Precision bass and a lakland JO5 and they're all brilliant and have their own personalities when playing....i have to say though i am blown away with Lakland JO5, i can really recommend those Lindon Frailin (or something like that...can't remember exactly what they're called) pickups - for me passive basses all the way ! I did try a Fender USA Jazz 5 the other week....and well lets just say there's something in the Lak....a monster?
7. Any way we could get this to the south west?
8. That bass is sooooooo nice....i'm buying the wife some flowers tonight prior to approaching her about this one, i'd probably have to do some wheeling and dealing myself though first!
9. A long awaited bumph!!!! xxx

11. Still for sale, too lazy to ebay it yet! Would consider swap for Musicman or Fender Jazz 5
12. Ah, nice bass...shame we couldn't of done a swap for my Lakland 55-02 i have up for sale. Your bass reminds me of my first musicman, alas it was a four string but i am after a 5 string these days. All the best with the sale.

15.
Looks lovely, unusual to see one with the PG. Now that's not a regular Lak PG, did you mod a Stingray one yourself? Regards Mike Edit: Just read the first post
No i bought it from a luthier in the USA who custom machined it, i believe you can purchase them now from the USA also if you hunt around (although America is pretty big) - Glad you like it. The pickguard is of course removable if not to your tastes...but i like it lots!

17.
There's only one thing for it Jase.....Fender!
Yeah get a Jazz mate, no matter where you go, what you get you'll always need a jazz...bit like the Swiss army knife of bass guitars...great for everything and anything and gutting fish!
18. I love the Ozrics fe sure! One of my fav bands of all time, i was lucky to jam with guys who jammed with some of the old guys...well dubbed out! Kick Muck! I may even watch my live DVD now, cheers
19. Hi Folks, Does anyone know of a transcription service at all??? I used to use a guy by sending him an Mp3 and then usually paying around £10 per tune ( most often simple reggae/ ska stuff), anyhow this geeza recently agreed to do some tunes for me so i paid him £30 for 3 tunes and he's disappeared of the face of the earth with my money (pikey!)-Not an irie bass brethren at all!. Don't get me wrong, when i can find time i do work stuff out by ear, infact most of the time, but my job is very demanding these days on my time and as i play with a covers band that turns out tunes like a capitalists whipping production line i struggle to keep up and having music/tabs is much quicker.....so anyone up for a quick dollar for a few simple reggae/ska lines give me a PM (no pikeys please!)
20. I'm listening to my neighbor rant about my Aston Familyman Barret in Dub album.....he said something like it was an earthquake....hmmm, may try out my rig at home later!
