1.
And you only have to punch the information into them once :-)
Yay!
2.
Really nice! Where did you find it?
This is what I was wondering when I was reading this. Tell more!
3. Posted elsewhere. I have a JAXT4 arriving imminently.
4. Nah, not in my nature. It'll be here soon enough. When it's here, we'll sort out a nerdy evening thing at mine. P
5. I'll just chip in here. I have a Lull incoming and have been dealing with Mark via email for a couple of months and phone for the last week or two. Correspondence has always been quick and concise ...there's been no steerage towards a different bass. The only thing I would say is that I am feeling a little like a kid before Christmas at the moment; the Lull apparently just needed bolting together and would be available 'in two weeks', but at the moment I don't know whether the bass is even en route from the US (in theory we're looking at delivery next week). It's a minor thing I know, but I don't want to feel like I'm hassling BD unnecessarily.
6. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
7. I think my only misgiving with the mounting system would be whether the adhesive backing fails at some future date. I'm not a big stamper and think the 'solution', is pretty nice.
Sorry to be "that guy", but ... I like everything about these boards - except for their mounting system which I think is an overengineered solution for a problem that doesn't really exist. Nothing "quick release" about going under the board to move or replace a pedal, expensive to buy plates for all pedals, restrictive in terms of exact placement on a packed board, and can a pedal be used separately on the floor with the mounting plate attached? I do like the looks and the patch panels and I would use this board, but I'd skip the mounting plates and use plain old Velcro instead.
8. The guy/agent is based in Hastings, templeboards.co.uk. I really like everything about these boards, especially the lack of velcro.
9. These are apparently available in the UK now. Worth a payday punt I think.
10. I think we've visited this topic previously, but in his defence, I think you could probably count his signature models on one hand; aside from the new Warwick, there's been the green Fender Jazz, the <shudder> Warwick Reverso </shudder>, a gold/sparkly Precision. There may have been others.
11. Bass Gear is about ten minutes from Johnson Towers. I really don't go over there enough. P
12. Try listening on headphones...the differences are a little more subtle. P
13. Honesty no idea. Personally I like #1 & #4 as they sound the most modern in tone, but that stands for nothing in these tests. So: 1 - 2008 2 - 1966 3 - Fodera 4 - 1972 5 - 1983 6 - 1979 How many out of 6?
14. I've got an old Precision copy (a Sunn Mustang) that is strung BEAD. Elites I think. That B sounds/plays/feels better than the Warwick and the Bongo I used to own.
15. Happy with my lot. Been a gradual thing but I think i have all bases/basses covered.
16. I just got an update. It'll be here in a couple of weeks. Will post many photos up in the porn page when it gets here. Weeeeeeee.
17. I'm going with the satin black one. My first chromed up bass too. Costing me a small fortune... This:
18. Blimey. It's quite interesting how the finishes have aged (or perhaps the original sunburst on the one at the front wasn't as red as the one at the back). Always had a soft spot for stack-knob Jazz basses. Lovely. P
My pair of '61 Jazz basses, http://
20. The RD Artist copy looks good. Just looked at the main website...it hurts my eyes.
21. I've always liked the Sandberg relicing, although never really been a fan of that headstock. P
22. I got a reply back...you'll be able to pre-order from the UK site soon. I think I'll go for one of these plus the power and input/output jack add ons.
