1. ...didn't think it would take long to go - I love my 4-94 and could never let her go...
2. Bought Martin's Xenyx mixer... it has duly arrived the next day as promised and the money hasn't even gone into his account yet! He has got us out of a gig/mixer problem for tomorrow and I need to recommend him as highly as is possible. Thanks Martin (hope the dosh makes it there!) cheers Shaun
3.
red pickguard plus natural body is just wrong for me Laklands are great instruments though!
...there's not too much Lakland left :-(
4.
Hi Shaun, how much use does the DD get if you have the 4-94 as well? What's the difference that makes you want both?
I've just bought the DD as I wanted something that more emulated a P-bass as I've had the Valenti for a while, but didn't like the neck - I keep it dialled for the older stuff we do - more thud - it's does the job very well. The 4-94 is still a joy to play and has so much more range - I gig with 'em both... the perfect pair (well, until something else comes along) ;-)
5. Guess I have to add my 2... a 4-94 courtesy of Marcus and a new (yes I bought new!!!) Skyline DD... now I want a US version! ...must get a better camera - do those necks looks curved or what? (although I've had a 44-02D, BG and a 55-01D)
6. bottom of the list then... ;-)
7. I'll have a read... PM'd :-)

*teehee* early 40s! Will you please tell her that I love her? Hope you like the Valenti! ...and help me find a Lakland?
14. Sold the Valenti to Si. Incredibly nice chap - just wished we could have met face to face. Great comms throughout and payment instantaneous. Highly recommended! ShaunB
15. +1 on the Lakland service... both Mr Lakin and Kirk are simply outstanding. I was passing through Chicago last year and so, so wanted to visit... but with only an hour at O'Hare and having mislaid my bottomless wallet...
16. ...Brought it back to the top as there's been interest of late. :-)
17. ...at least it's the 43in. - that's got to be good. Hasn't it? I mean... 43in!!!
18. ya know I thought it was a Glaub when I first cast my eyes on it... but they assured me it was a limited edition - I have questioned them on this.
19.
I'd personally look at the Lakland. They're top top quality. The only thing to bear in mind though is that the neck on the Duck Dunn is a Jazz bass profile, not a P neck.
...not the one at Absolute... 1 3/4" nut and plays like a dream... want, want, want.
20. My local music store - I played it for 5 minutes before they did a complete service on it and it's ....mmmm mmmm! (they won't take my Valenti in trade though :-( - say they don't know owt about Nino...)
21. PM'd...
22. Iain is a top bloke. Best comms throughout a deal - even held his end of the deal when bloody Parcel Farce charged more than the quote - be warned though! The entire package will take more than a day to open - he has quite possibly the best packaging technique ever! I have called the local tip to take the packaging away! I would recommend him highly. (especially if you want a good laff throughout the transaction) cheers Shaun
