1. I've used a Bass Buddy through a Barefaced Midget (Gen 1) as a practice rig, and it's excellent. I doubt it would be much use at a rehearsal. At a gig, that mini-rig would work in a situation where you were going through the PA but needed some close-up monitor sound, but there are easier ways of achieving that.
2. Hayman ... ah, leave me alone, I said Hayman ... ah Henry, get off the phone http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-Hayman-40-40-Bass-very-rare-British-made-user-friendly-rock-amp-roll-bass-/162095370954?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
3.
Not bass related, so a bit off topic. I did like this one though "Feminine singer seeking band" https://www.joinmyba...nd-t956561.html
What on earth does 'non-binary' mean?
4. If this was a fiver, I'd have it in a heartbeat ...
5. All you gotta do is Walk This Way mate ...
6. Try a Barefaced OneTen before you make a decision. It's a ludicrously competent cab for the size.
7. Nah. Hip-Hop was over and done by 1987. All the rest is derivative garbage. Discuss.
8. If you (acting as sound guy) were turning down his volume, while he (on stage) was turning it up, perhaps it was more of a monitoring issue than anything else - he just couldn't hear himself?

10.
I've also got an 80 watt Dynacord valve amp I want to explore the possibilities of a little more, though I reckon the useful volume from that will be about on a par with the MB200.
Granted that Dynacord only ever did 'clean' sounds, I'd still expect an 80W valve amp to kick out a LOT more useable volume than a S/S 200W.
11. I wonder what it weighs ...
12. I now can't wait for you to check your uncle's loft ....
13. On balance, it might be better to buy a Squier Telecaster from a UK supplier. Just saying ...
14. Simple & practical passive mixer unit, 4 x mic channels (XLR) plus 4 x stereo pairs (1/4") to give up to 12 inputs. 2-ch EQ, 48V phantom power, all the usual features for an entry-level desk. Works perfectly, original PSU still there too. Now surplus to my requirements. £40 posted to UK. 15. I still think it was a ballsy move by John Hall to set up Rockinbetter ...
16. Gosh, I remember when this was my favourite Topic on Basschat. Of course, I was much younger then, and this were all fields round 'ere. Genuinely delighted to see it re-surface.
17. Pah! You can't remember the lead, can you?
18.
Spondon, it's a dark poor quality cell phone video. The only reason I wanted to post it was for you guys to hear the rather top notch tempo one of the new drummers were working with kept. And I wanted to make sure I haven't mislead anyone. We're not a professional band. We're a local bar band. Blue
Fair enough mate, and if nothing else you've created a great topic.
19. What are you supposed to do with them?
20. As topic titles go, there are few more open to misinterpretation than this one ...
21.
I used to think that I started gigging in 1975 .I recently discovered it was 1974..........
There was a lot of sh*t being smoked back then, yeah ...
22. They're necessities, aren't they?
23. For that amount of money, you could buy six old bangers and drive them all to the Nurburgring ...
24.
I've owned the Korg Pitchblack for years and have never worried about upgrading it. Built like a tank and it's display is really smooth, doesn't flicker or jump about.
+1 A great big, bright, simple display makes it dead easy to read under stage lighting, the Mute button is essential if you get as angry as I do with guitarists who tune up at gigs with their guitars going through their rigs (do you really imagine the audience actually wants to hear this?), and you can use it to power a non-battery 9V pedal which can be bloody useful under some circumstances.
25. As a rule, I have always preferred litotes to hyperbole ...
