4. Bought this earlier in the year but have not used it at all. Absolutely mint condition. Boxed with all instructions. Prefer collection from Liverpool but will post insured at cost. 6.
Hi will this (ACG bass) give a good jaco 'burpy' tone? thanks
Hi, I wouldn't know a Jaco tone if I fell over one Ed
 7. After a weekend of Beatles madness I've become quite taken with McCartney's violin bass. I've been checking out the market to see what's available and there only seems to be high end and low end models with nothing in between. Has anybody got any experience of any of these basses or know of a decent one at less than £1000 ?

 9.
Judging by the responses seen in this thread I guess if I were a luthier I'd die of starvation because nobody would buy my basses. I consider that 95% of Mr. Shuker work are pieces of art and often I wonder why most bassists cant see beauty beyond Fender. I have nothing against Fender basses, and I fancy the Jazz Bass tone, but the looks and the design are clearly outdated. I mean, come on, its XXI century, time to move on, maybe? Again, nothing against tradition and such, but if I were a luthier I would die of boredom with yet-another-fender-clone order. I agree that uberhorn with polyester finish might look Ritter inspired and probably I wont choose such a finish for my own bass, but just roll down the page a bit and check the same uberhorn shape with african blackwood... That one is definitely in my top10 most beautiful basses ever.
So it's not just me ! I agree with your sentiments entirely. It's quite refreshing that a British luthier is trying to push the envelope a bit and do something different.
 10. Got these listed for sale on ebay but would rather sell them to a basschatter if possible at a Bc'er price !. Links to the details on ebay as below http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=58670
 11. Thought I'd have a look at Jon Shuker's site this afternoon and came across the 4 string Uberhorn. I don't think I've ever seen a bass as beautiful as this. http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk/stock.htm What do you think ?
 12. Cheers Steve - the teeth were there !
Malekko put odd stickers on their pedals just because they can...they're a delightfully odd company Their pedals often come with a set of hillbilly crooked teeth inside too! If you've never opened up yours have a look inside just in case, but of course the previous owner might have already removed them.
13. I took my assmaster down to Burno70's to compare it to the non germanium model and we found the difference to be negligible, although it could have been down to Ste's effects chain set up.
Apparently silicon transistors produce a harsher sound, germanium sounds a bit darker and more tubey.
14. Hi Steve, Interesting and very strange indeed ! Maybe I should add another £20 to the price then !
Hi Ed, my Assmaster has 4 blue glittery stripes next to the in and outs, I think this is Malekkos way of identifying their products for registration.
15. Hi unfortunately 4 strings are too many these days !
Both the ACG and the Shuker are stunning. If someone would buy my Sei I'd happily have either...or both. ...don't want a 6 string Sei do you?
16. 3 top quality basses for sale by me - obviously Ebay prices reflect a premium to recover fees. Basschat prices are Shuker £800 SOLD http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shuker-5-string-Sing...id=p3286.c0.m14 ACG £850 Sold pending the usual http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ACG-HARLOT-TYPE-R-BA...id=p3286.c0.m14 RKS £550 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RKS-SYMBASS-5-string...id=p3286.c0.m14 Collection only from Liverpool or happy for you to arrange your own courier once funds cleared. 17. Getting rid of some pedals in a big clearout. The pedal is in excellent condition and contains a glittery no.5 sticker courtesy of Malekko (see post below). Pics to follow. Ed.
