  1. Has any one checked out Andy's guitars website - quite possibly the worst one in existence !
  2. Has anybody tried one of these basses - it's a modern take on a jazz available from Dolphin music. Just checked one out at lunchtime and it blew me away with it's looks and tone. I also tried the primal pro which wasn't as nice but still worth thinking about for the money. Liked it so much it shall be mine tomorrow ! (the wife will be pleased)
  3. I sent him a message and asked if he meant to start it at £100
  4. Just checked out your tunes and was really impressed. Good luck !

  6. Mr. Shuker says a headless jazz is no problem and as soon as I get the money together I will be ordering a custom built one with a scaled down body . Any thought on body woods - my initial thinking was that a dense heavy wood might be better to replace some of the mass lost through scaling down and the lack of a head.

  14. I'd start by buying a funny hat - you can't play proper jazz without one ! I'm looking to learn some Jazz pieces to help improve my technique. I quite like Jaco and Weather Report. Can anyone recommend a good starting point? Thanks [/quote] ;
  15. Thanks guys - I feel much better now I have hard evidence. In fact I'm seeing Mr Shuker in the morning.....
  16. Just debating the merits of buying another bass with my wife who cannot understand why I need another one I currently have 4 and an acoustic and the same number of guitars but I bet this is a modest collection compared to some other basschatters. Please can somebody else tell me how many guitars they have in their collections so I can prove that it is not an obsession and is quite normal !
