1. Full listing updated folks with sound clip, videos and photos!
2.
Totally OT sorry but I Funkin' love your white Stingray! I have said it before on another thread where it was OT but what the heck.Do you want to sell it me and keep your Ric?
Hey Pete, yeah you did point it out! The StingRay is sublime, I've never played another bass like it, the sound and the tone. Weights a ton! It's a Frankenbass with a Sabre neck, new black pickguard but original body and electronics. This is me playing it live here - http://www.facebook.com/v/10150207069750584 (check out the 'bass solo' at 1:32!) - despite crap acoustics and camera it cuts through like butter EDIT - There is no way I'm selling it, ever! Two £1k+ basses though is excessive

4. Although I have toyed swapping and selling many times, circumstances mean it is time for my Rickenbacker to go. As my MA funding deadline approaches, I need to raise more cash and I can't keep something as extravagant as this The 4003, the classic-modern fusion of Rickenbacker's legendary bass. My bass was produced in August 2007 in the blue burst colour-of-the-year. It's rather light weight with a very P-esque neck, yet extremely playable. It's had a mixture of flat and wound rounds and has sounded great with both. For Jazz gigs, the neck pickup and flats are amazing but slap some rounds and it is ready to rock. Has been my main gigging bass for 18 months and as a result, has two small knocks on the headstock. But besides this, it's a beaut. I frequently get complements on how stunning the blue, while and chrome look together. The specifications are:

20 frets (33 1/4'' scale)
All original Rickenbacker parts, no modifications
Schaller Deluxe Machine Heads
Triangle fret inlays
Maple body with thru-neck
Mono and Rick-O-Sound Stereo Output
I have made up a little audio clip of the bass itself so you can hear how glorious it sounds. It has some flat wounds on at the moment. The clip below has clips of all the different settings on offer. You can find both pickups w/ fingers (0:00), Neck pickup w/ fingers (0:32), bridge pickup w/ fingers (1:13), both pickups w/ pick (1:55), bridge pickup w/ pick (2:33) and neck pickup w/ pick (3:05). You can also check me out playing the bass live on Enola Gay and our original Bayou Town. I'm looking for around £1,150 (paid £1,500 in April 2009 from a lovely gentleman in Scotland). Shipping will be around £20 around the country, or pickup from North East of England. Any questions you know where I am
5. Defiantly going to try and make it up for this one! Saw his first show back in 2007 and it was rather excellent, although I defiantly came across as the nerdy annoying fan
6. Sorry guys I've just sold it to a mate of mine. Do check out my excellent Ampeg cabinet for sale as well!
7.
I love him!
Is this your alter-ego persona to Steely Dan man? Crazy, long haired funk rocker?!
8.
The guy's a legend.
Just been watching some of his videos Pete, he's a little special to say the least. The room decoration, the cheese-o-matic drum machine...a nice sane chap
9. This may seem like a strange request folks but I was wondering if anyone has a fretless bass (preferably Jazz-ish) that I could borrow for a week to try out? I live in Gateshead so anywhere in the surrounding area... I've played the Squier VMJ in Sounds Live a fair few times but I don't want to commit to buying one I'm sure it will get used and I will be able to learn to play it decently. I'd like to sit down and spent a good few hours trying it out and recording a few bits to see how I sound. I'm happy to leave a deposit, contact details and eternal gratitude. Let me know if anyone can help
10. I've got the full Fender wiring kit for a Precision bass with pots, cables and instructions, never used it. Wanted to sell it but would much rather see it off here. PM if you want it for her.
11. I've just watched the video my mate took of my first gig. Same band I've been with, albeit a different drummer. We ended the gig on a 10 minute jam of Whole Lotta Love. The drummer was immense but not really suited to our style - Fleetwood Mac and CCR didn't work as well as this baby. here is the keytar and drum solo (sigh)...http://www.facebook.com/v/105711700583 Playing a borrowed Lakland Duck Dunn through my EB combo. My bass at this time was Squier Jazz, I hit so many wrong notes.
12.
If the 212 can run at 5-600watts, then they can be that one cab solution, IMV. My amp is rated 400w
Excellent, seems I made the right choice. Can't wait for it to come next week. The RS212 is rated at 400W but my Little Mark II is only rated for 300W for 8 ohms so it's not reaching 5-600W but I can never imagine needing that much power!
13. Just paid for an RS212 on this very forum, I will report back in the near future. Now to shift the old two cabinets (cough...interested anyone?)
14. I was going to post this but thought I might have to hide as it seems to be commonly thrown around... Am I right the CV has the 60s pickup positioning while the VM has the 70s? The 70s appears to be going for the Marcus vibe of the 75 American Reissue while the 60s is going for the 62. In terms of the basses, how do the necks feel? Sound difference?
15. Saturday bump with lower price! Might have to think about evilBay soon
16.
Those cabs work well with the MB amps. KJung on Talkbass did a comparison video and he rated the RS210 with MB very well. Obviously they also work well with the RH450. Description: RS210 - Tight, punchy, full mids, sweet high end. VERY easy to move around, great price, and I have done rehearsals with just one no problem. RS212 - Fuller in the low mids and lots of low end should you want it. Quite a 'chewy' typical 12s sound, with again a nice sweet high end. A louder cabinet, a little larger front to back, but still quite light and probably a 'fuller' one cab solution. Will handle gigs NO problem.
Thanks for quick response mate, this is what I guessed! I was thinking of trying to pick up this RS212 and then get an RS210 in the future if I need more power. 22kg is much better than the 32kg of my SVT-15E. I might also reach the 'Bass in one hand, amp on back and cabinet in the other hand' ultimate gigging dream...
17. Afternoon folks, I'm on the look out for a more portable cabinet. My past two have been an Ampeg SVT-15E (currently for sale!) and an Ampeg MAG 4x10, both of which were very large and heavy to lump around. However, I'm moving to London in September and want something far more portable. Not that I'm planning to lump it around the tube but something that is easier and lighter. The only requirements are that it isn't too heavy and can cope with small-medium gigs on its own, as most of the gigs I do don't bother with PA support for the instruments. I've been looking around but all the light-weight ones aren't in my price range. I've seen the TC Electronics ones and they seem to be good value for money. The RS212 for sale I'm strongly considering but I was wondering how it will cope on its own, as most pair it with a RS210...which would be better for just one amp? Obviously in the future I could add a second one if required. Will be running through a Little Mark II head. Thanks
18. He's right, terrific cabinet! Just need something more portable... Bump bump
19. Bump no interest? Might have to think about the evilBay....all offers welcome!
20. Sorry mate both of BOSS pedals are now sold. The PSU and Behringer ones are still available!
21. Owned this since 2007, it's time to pass this one on. I'm simplifying my amp setup so don't need this. A small, very powerful and excellent sounding combo. Can easily handle practise sessions and small gigs on its own, and can take anything else with the support of the PA. No major cosmetic problems, everything works as expected. I'm looking for around £160 for this one, but all offers are welcome. Collection from the North East area is preferred, if not then shipping will be around £15-20, assuming I can find a box! Item is now SOLD
22. My trusty SVT-15E for sale here folks, it's done very well and with my Little Mark II, it has a fantastic sound. Large, clear and articulate, probably the best cabinet I have ever owned. The front frame is a little bent in and there are a few scuffs but nothing major. It's 100% fully working and never let me down. This model often comes with wheels but I removed them because with a 4x10 on top, it isn't very steady. Offers around £220 are more than welcome. At £434 new, this seems quite reasonable...I'd prefer pickup from the North East area because it is so large but could possibly arrange shipping. It will be around £20!
23. Putting these up these pedals as I have never used them in a gigging situation and could do with the money. Are all very good condition, as good as new I would say [s]Boss Bass ODB-3 Overdrive - £25[/s] SOLD [s]Boss Bass CEB-3 Chorus - £25[/s] SOLD [s]Behringer TU300 Chromatic Tuner - £15[/s] SOLD Behringer DD400 Digital Delay - £15 Boss Power Supply - £10 All are available for shipping around the country, as well as meeting in the North East if you wish to pickup. Any questions or offers just let me know!
