You have to do lots of experimenting with different strap-heights. I had the same problem.

Both the bands I play in are really energetic which fits the genre. I guess it depends on the size of the stage you've got, but there's generally much posing and scampering about. The kids dig it

I've gone and done it now too. Just bought one of the SSII's for £999. Funny thing is, we were in that same soundcontrol in birmingham in early june, picking up strings and other bits while on tour. I saw that very SSII on the wall, listed at £2199 and said to my lead singer [i]'that's my dream bass that is, if I got one of them I could finally do a proper Alex from Incubus impression'[/i]. Now, weirdly enough because of this site I've bought that very bass. Karma. It's coming on tuesday. Well excited. In the last month I've got the two basses I've aaaalways lusted after since being a teen: a thumb NT 5 and now a SSII 4. Time to stop with the GAS I reckon. However it's all very timely since we've got 3 really big support slots this august and I didn't want to use my knackered corvette at all.

what are people's opinions of the Streamer Pro-Ms? would it be much 'better' than my corvette standard?

there's ALOT of endorsement going on. I think it also depends what kind of gigs you go to. I haven't seen an SWR rig in an age for example, but there seems to be an increasing amount of Aguilar stuff around since they've crossed genres quite well. I also think us bass guys love exotic rigs that the mainstream haven't heard of, especially when they *hear* it
