The wait is over!!!!! Yes, it's the baby... no, it doesn't (yet) have the VTC preamp... buuuuuuuuut, after literally 5 minutes plugged in.... this is what I think... There seems to be none of the fret end issues that I've read so much (and dreaded) about. These are pretty much what I'd expect from a well set-up bass The eq, set flat, is amazing! Let's just say that A/B'ed against my Cort, which has Delano pickups, the Sadowsky beats, nay, slays is!!! It's lighter than both the Cort and my old model Ibanez BTB 6 (and that means tons to an old man like me) I will go out on a limb and say this much... I've played a Sadowsky only once before (in another life in South Africa back in 1999 or 2000) and it was a MIA top of the line 24 fret model, which blew my mind.... so I have almost nothing to base my impressions off... but what I just played is HUGELY better in feel and tone than the above mentioned Cort, a MM SUB, which also had Delanos (not painting a good picture for Delano, am I?), and probably sits nicely under previously owned MIJ, early 90's Yamaha TRBs (5&6) in terms of "wow, this is a great bass). I mean that... it's not just platitudes because it's "new bass day" for me, I really honestly mean that. To Roger (thank you for the emails BTW), Sadowsky and Warwick, I say thank you!! From what I understand, the Sadowsky part is just under 6 cm. Any chance someone could confirm that for me? Still waiting for the bass. Thomann did say "usually ships 1-2 weeks" but I'm just flipping impatient 😂

I've found the (Sadowsky) logo on etsy and several other places. I'll see which one is best. I'm also considering asking Roger Sadowsky directly if I can get a genuine one... My wife says I should look for a stencil, transfer the letters to the wood, and not a decal. Will see about that too. I'm sure Sadowsky uses a print stamp

Thanks @songofthewind I'm not sure what sealant to use, but I'm sure my local B&Q person can assist. Now to peruse Amazon for the decal paper 😄

A stupid question perhaps, but short of sanding the headstock to remove the existing logo....is there a "better" way to strip off the current logo?

Hello @Andyjr1515 - he said that the truss couldn't move and was not willing to apply brute force in order to attempt it. - it is not super gloss, but there is definitely a gloss coating - I could do that if it were deemed to be worth it... again, I don't want to throw good money after bad here (the dilemma is real hahahaha) But yes, I can take it off easily enough See, if it's a scrapper, it's only value then is in the HipShot tuners. And yes, the refinish is the crux... and an expensive one. I am thinking more and more that the neck refit is not viable... many thanks for slapping me about the head!

I've been trying to find a 35", 5 string neck... Warmoth, All Parts etc etc etc. I'm all ears if anyone knows of a decent supplier. I've even tried looking for a similar, albeit "cheaper" Cort neck... From the distributors and 2nd hand. Bloody hen's teeth!

That's what does worry me too... but I'd like someone to look, see, decide ... The pickups, tuners and bridge alone are worth it... sigh

Hi All, So, the woes on my Cort GB75JH continue, so I am (should a potential buyer decline to take it) considering replacing the truss rod. My local tech says he can't do it as he does not have the means to replace on a maple neck and fingerboard ... but who does? I am based in Harlow, Essex, so I don't want to have to ship to Yorkshire - it's not like this is a Ken Smith hahahaha Anyone know of a good tech, who won't rip the ring out me, who can take a look, make an assessment, and do the job?
