  1. The Carl Martin Bass Chorus is one of those "why, why, why on earth did I ever sell that????" pedals... a real beauty of a unit
  2. Hello @Andyjr1515 - he said that the truss couldn't move and was not willing to apply brute force in order to attempt it. - it is not super gloss, but there is definitely a gloss coating - I could do that if it were deemed to be worth it... again, I don't want to throw good money after bad here (the dilemma is real hahahaha) But yes, I can take it off easily enough See, if it's a scrapper, it's only value then is in the HipShot tuners. And yes, the refinish is the crux... and an expensive one. I am thinking more and more that the neck refit is not viable... many thanks for slapping me about the head!
  3. I've been trying to find a 35", 5 string neck... Warmoth, All Parts etc etc etc. I'm all ears if anyone knows of a decent supplier. I've even tried looking for a similar, albeit "cheaper" Cort neck... From the distributors and 2nd hand. Bloody hen's teeth!
  4. That's what does worry me too... but I'd like someone to look, see, decide ... The pickups, tuners and bridge alone are worth it... sigh
  5. Hi All, So, the woes on my Cort GB75JH continue, so I am (should a potential buyer decline to take it) considering replacing the truss rod. My local tech says he can't do it as he does not have the means to replace on a maple neck and fingerboard ... but who does? I am based in Harlow, Essex, so I don't want to have to ship to Yorkshire - it's not like this is a Ken Smith hahahaha Anyone know of a good tech, who won't rip the ring out me, who can take a look, make an assessment, and do the job? My thanks in advance... Julian aka Glassmoon
  6. Hell's Teeth... That's a beautiful bass, that's for sure... GLWTS mate
  7. To say that is a thing of beauty is to downplay the meaning of the word beauty!!!! A stunning instrument - and welcome to the World of Ibanez
  8. Hi everyone, I'm selling this to fund another music-related project. I've really loved this bass, especially with the awesome Delano pickups I put in. Used once in a live situation and it just works...it punches above it's weight thanks to the upgraded pickups. Description: Cort GB-75JH (semi-clear "black") with upgraded Delano pickups, which makes this bass very close in tone to a Sandberg. MM and J pickup config (a la Lakland) (Delano JC 5 HE/M2 Split Coil Humbuckers & Delano MC 5 HE/S-L Dual Coil Humbucker) Volume, blend, bass & treble (I put Sadowsky knobs on the pots, so it looks really "fancy" LOL) 35" scale length Hipshot ultralight tuners Canadian Hard-Maple neck Swamp ash body Omega bridge Weight : 9.6 lbs / 4.4 kg Issue Statement: The truss rod appears to have fused, and after sending it to my local tech, brute force could potentially break the rod. So this is more than likely a parts bass. And they're awesome parts 😜 The action (see pic) is not horrible, just not paper thin. The tech in question is @gary mac. Collect or courier at buyer's expense (I will bubble wrap to protect, but no shipping box)
  9. Good afternoon all, So in light of the truss rod on my Cort 5 found to be fused (and while not unplayable, it's no longer adjustable for super low action).... I'm considering going the Squier route and doing some mods down the road. I missed on a Squier deluxe, so in my searching, I found the Affinity which looks decent, and then the Contemporary, which is a rather different beast altogether. I've always had a soft spot for Squiers, but am I going backwards here? I play, when I play, in pop/rock/function bands, so Jack of all trades requirements. Anyone have one of these that they use and like?T alk me out of it, or all the way into one hahahaha Thanks in advance Julian aka Glassmoon
  10. Sorry, silly not to ask... It says 3 band, but I see only 4 knobs. Is one stacked?
  11. Question. When you say sold as untested, is that to say you have not tested them? BTW, interested in the Glockenklang pre
  12. Awesome units! Really great EQ section GLWTS
  13. Oh man, that's one of the best looking basses I've seen in a very long time. GLWTS
  14. Yeah, I've corrected that stupid typo. Thanks @jrixn1for pointing that out. I have the GB-75JH, the 35" scale bass. So I'm in trouble looking for a relatively inexpensive option... So on that note... Do Status still make replacement necks I wonder? Or is there a better option elsewhere?
  15. So I checked out the Cort GB35-JJ on the Cort website, and it's 35" scale. I'm just going to scream a little bit now
  16. Oh wow @MichaelDean: that is perfect!!!!! Almost the same bass. Man, what a find - thank you so, so much!!!!!
  17. Hi all So the neck on my Cort GB75JH needs to be replaced (fused truss rod, slight kink too). These basses are not hugely expensive, so I really don't want to pay the near £300 that I've seen for them from some places.... nor do I want a cheap piece of pine. I've seen an option for buying another Cort 5, same scale length... I might just do that... but... So, is there anywhere in the UK where I can get a good (and I understand the subjectivity of that word) replacement neck without breaking the bank. I'd prefer a rosewood (or any other darkwood) fingerboard, but at this stage, beggars can't be choosers. Any help and guidance would be great!!!! Kind regards, Julian aka Glassmoon

  19. I watched a YooChoob clip of this pedal, and before all the fuzz and widdly woo stuff started, the simple one up / one down was amazing. Soooooooo tempted
  20. When I'm asked about my DI, I point at the floor. It's currently an EBS MicroBass 3, before that an MXR M81, before that.... The last time I used an amp for anything other than a monitor was donkeys years ago. I guess I could get one of them and a Radial DI, but man, I think bassists would love it so much more, were there a DI. GLWTS though @RikiB. Sorry for trolling your post
