    I appreciate it's not entirely answering your question, but i thought i'd throw an idea in to the mix. On Friday I filmed a review of a Matrix power amp that is 'optimised for guitar processors'. The company i've known about for many years but i gotta say the GT1600 amp, simply driven from a normal preamp pedal sounded girthsome and certainly loud! 1.6KW and 5 Kg. The thing i reaally liked was that as a high output power amp, it was still much shorter than a shallow rack case. About 22cm deep. My thinking is that this could be an option instead of a bass head with the pre bypassed?

    Hey everyone! Here's a little peach for ya! I'm selling my MB800 which is in excellent condition - it comes with the rather expensive rack mounting kit ([b]£33+p&p[/b] from Thomann) thrown in for free! There's a little marking on the top of the amp but this doesn't of course affect operation and is barely noticeable. This is a super loud and punchy lightweight 1u high head that fits in a gig bag easily! It has a superb tone and unlike the lower models in the range features an all FET preamp that is said to sound and act more like a valve preamplifier rather than the OpAmp MB versions. I can tell you that indeed, as you push the gain control, you get bite rather than ugly distortion! Here's the link to the GK website for the MB heads.     Hi everyone! I have to add a little information to this post regarding the condition of the bass. I'm rather gutted to say that at some point over the last week a small dink has appeared on the back of the bass. It's about 3mm long. It doesn't affect the bass playability and won't get seen in use, but it's something I have to mention in the sale! I've knocked a tenner off the price to £320 however, I really can't do a deal on shipping as it will still be sent fully insured.

    Have a look at the other B3 and MS60B threads chap - there's a lot to read and they vary in operation, but I can tell you as I own both, the quality is the same in both and they are astounding value for money.

    I'm subscribing to this one too as I may be in the market for an upgrade. I'm using Roland RH-200 which are really good clarity but I think after many years of heavy use one of the cones has developed a rattle. Or.... it's my ear bones finally shredding! lol!

    If it were a change that were forced upon me, (through accident for example) then I'd probably start by taking a huge amount of psychological support from the likes of Rick Allen and the awesome Bill Clements who are just two who have rebuilt their playing and career after a loss of a limb. An incredible inspiration to all musicians.

Telling a female musician that you find her attractive and that she is talented is very different from toilet mouthed innuendo and sexist comments that aren't welcomed.

Therefore Basschat asks users to be mindful and respectful of their fellow users of this community. Whether or not they are at school and have picked up their first bass or a retired weekend warrior - the community spirit should still be respected right? That's what makes the forum family orientated. .
