1. P.s. if they are usind a DI feed, the amp is set to a 1974 Ampeg SVT sim and 810 cabinet emulation.
2.
Doods' right, the bass amp is a Line 6. Look 42 secs in.
Ey! Thank you! That's why I write for a hooj guitar mag lol. Dood knows his sh*t
3. I'm thinking about selling my limited edition Korg M50 (which has way more functions than I'll ever use) and spend a bit more time with Apple's MainStage app I have installed. I would like to get a MIDI Keyboard instead for tapping in my musical ideas. I'm after either a 49 or 61 key controller with both USB and 5 PIN MIDI connections. Maybe a few pads on for drum parts as well as a joystick controller or wheels for Pitch and Mod. I'm not too fussed about being piano weighted, but preferably something that won't fall to pieces in 5 seconds. Working with Core Audio will also be brilliant as it means I can plug it straight in to my iPad as well. Tall order eh? Is there anything I have missed? - Power by USB / batteries would also be great but not essential. Let me know your thoughts!
4. On my tiny screen, that amp looks a lot like a Line 6 LowDown 750!
5. That's a relatively cheap MIDI foot controller too! I've got a Boss FC-50 (Also known as a Roland GFC-50) they come up on eBay sometimes for not-alot-of-money and are pretty bullet proof.

Super smooth purchase of a pedal I had for sale. Yup, top chap!
15. We could 'pin' a lefty discussion thread in the Bass Guitars forum for the discussion side of things. That'd be a good idea - but it couldn't include adverts for any sales or trades.
16. Alex's BGM column for reading reference too. http://barefacedbass.com/uploads/BGM67%20Jun2011.pdf
17. Flippin eck! 400?
18. The stands are pretty expensive - Hartke told me that the lighting and electric bill alone was pretty astounding. - As for Berg and Genz, Mark of BassDirect had more of their gear last year, not so much this year. Some really nice basses though!
19. I've gotten the software, but I have to admit that 'red only' colour scheme makes things unclear for me. The app seems to work ok, but I don't know how often I will use it because of this.
20. Yes, Sheldon and I disappeared in to the foyer with that superb F# Dingwall for a play. On Sunday I brought my Shuker bass down with it's low F# to compare. The 37" scale and strings made specially by Circle K certainly made for a substantial low end! I was really pleased that my Shuker held it's own though and Sheldon was really complementary. He's a really nice guy and I loved the ABZ i reviewed recently. Superb!
21. That's interesting! I was hoping for the kinda gain that I get from my BSP. I'm wondering if in fact this pedal isn't for me after all.
22. Charic! Good choice on the Kilo! We had such good feedback about them at LBGS - it s a beast, but it sounds big and fat. I use mine in bridge mode connected to a 4.5xl which is only rated at 400W RMS at 8 Ohms. It's totally fine if you watch the volume. If the cones are flapping back and forth, then cut out the sub frequencies below 30hz - that will stop any farting out and over excursion of the cones trying to produce frequencies they will struggle to anyway. Wasted energy. Actually, if i think about it, when I use two 4x10's thats still only 800W at 4 ohms - so yup, that's closer to your specs and it is fine fine fine!
23. I'd suggested the tagging option and specifying 'left hand' in for sale ad titles to make searching easier. Not only that it is free and no overhead in implementation. However, I think a left hand sub forum in the bass guitar marketplace is a good idea. I'd rather see that than just one long convoluted thread.
24. There's no need to post a declaration, hopefully you will have spent time reading through the announcement posts as to why BassChat, after many many years of free running is asking for a very small contribution for the use of the market place. This is ONLY the market place mind - BassChat is actually a forum community. A very busy and vibrant one that we openly invite all to be part of and contribute to. A free one that if you choose to be part of can be incredibly rewarding (as well as save you a great deal of money!) I'm a little surprised at your outburst re: the site becoming greedy! - You might want to stick around longer to see that BassChat is far from that, or will ever be. Again, if you'd contributed to the site news, you will have seen that the response to the changes have been favoured amongst users. Finally, as discussed previously this thread will now be closed. When advertising a left hand instrument, please make use of tags as well as adding 'left hand' clearly in your advert title. This will mean that search criteria can report back all the left handed items.
