  2. I normally can't stand three tone sunbursts, but something about this bucks the trend - it looks mightily fine. GLWTS

  4. Love a Jazz for the bark and bite of the bridge pup and the rounded thump of the neck pup, just hate the necks themselves.
  5. My sentiments exactly - I've got a 50s P incoming for this very reason.
  6. Some P basses are up to 45mm, so the difference can be significant and certainly noticeable . Appreciate not everyone's bothered by this, but interested as to the consensus.
  7. There are multiple options available on that front...
  8. Some good points here. I certainly agree that the thinner is 'faster' assumption is flawed. As a thumb behind the fretboard guy, I'm still irritated by a diddy width, but it's not a deal-breaker (as perhaps a chunky neck may be for the thumb-over fellows). String-spacing at the bridge is a different question, but possibly of greater concern to many.
  9. I am not too keen on jazz-width nuts, despite having relatively small hands. I learnt to play using precisions and this obviously informed my bias. With that in mind, I've noticed that most four-string production models, besides precisions, have nut widths of 38-40mm. The assumption made by manufacturers seems to be, 'the skinnier, the better'. Is this reflective of players' preferences in general? Cheers, Tobie
  10. Lovely Brirish-made trem pedal, in great condition (without original box). Price is posted to mainland UK. Cheers, Tobie
  11. Amazing looking bass - I bet it sounds truly great! All the best with the sale.
  12. Nice distortion, just not what I'm looking for. Great condition, with box (velcro attached). Price is posted to mainland UK. Cheers, Tobie Possible trade: MXR M81
  13. Has this been published in the last week or so? I couldn't find any schedule information on the website when I last checked.
  14. This has put me off making the journey. The costs and hassle associated with an event hosted in London can be prohibitive, especially for those travelling from out of town, and decisions to attend may be quite specific to justify the significant outlay. For something as niche as bass geekery, it's particularly important to be detailed in your planning IMO.
  15. Sean sold me a pedal recently. Really quick, easy and pleasant. Highly recommended. Cheers, Tobie
  16. Really good to meet Kev this week when he bought a bass off me. Easy deal, good comms and a decent cup of tea - what's not to like?! Cheers, Tobie
  17. Graham bought a pedalboard from me recently. No issues whatsoever and good communications. Recommended BCer. Cheers, Tobie
  18. Eh up Andy! How's it going? I've just bought a pedalbay, otherwise I'd have had this off you.
