  1. I am not too keen on jazz-width nuts, despite having relatively small hands. I learnt to play using precisions and this obviously informed my bias. With that in mind, I've noticed that most four-string production models, besides precisions, have nut widths of 38-40mm. The assumption made by manufacturers seems to be, 'the skinnier, the better'. Is this reflective of players' preferences in general? Cheers, Tobie
  2. Lovely Brirish-made trem pedal, in great condition (without original box). Price is posted to mainland UK. Cheers, Tobie
  3. Amazing looking bass - I bet it sounds truly great! All the best with the sale.
  4. Nice distortion, just not what I'm looking for. Great condition, with box (velcro attached). Price is posted to mainland UK. Cheers, Tobie Possible trade: MXR M81
  5. Has this been published in the last week or so? I couldn't find any schedule information on the website when I last checked.
  6. This has put me off making the journey. The costs and hassle associated with an event hosted in London can be prohibitive, especially for those travelling from out of town, and decisions to attend may be quite specific to justify the significant outlay. For something as niche as bass geekery, it's particularly important to be detailed in your planning IMO.
  7. Sean sold me a pedal recently. Really quick, easy and pleasant. Highly recommended. Cheers, Tobie
  8. Really good to meet Kev this week when he bought a bass off me. Easy deal, good comms and a decent cup of tea - what's not to like?! Cheers, Tobie
  9. Graham bought a pedalboard from me recently. No issues whatsoever and good communications. Recommended BCer. Cheers, Tobie
  10. Eh up Andy! How's it going? I've just bought a pedalbay, otherwise I'd have had this off you.
  11. Just taken delivery of a BSW from Skinner and I'm on holiday this week - I haven't had so much fun for a long time! It's brilliant and ridiculous in equal measure and, far from putting me off, I'm delighted that I can see no reasonable applications for it in the foreseeable future other than contributing to the breadth of my grin. Win!
  12. Andrew bought a bass from me recently. Easy and pleasant to deal with throughout. Recommended BCer! Tobie
  13. Cheers all - much obliged. Sounds like a simple EQ will do the job nicely! Tobie
  14. Cheers Lozz. Definitely don't want to go down the onboard route. Any opinion on preamp vs. eq pedals for the same job?
  15. I'm looking for a pedal to 'modernise' a passive p bass on the fly. Mainly, but not exclusively for slapping. Don't need a clean boost or high gain function and not too bothered about DI. What are the pros and cons of preamps vs eqs? Cheers, Tobie
  16. Hi Paul - don't suppose you've still got the GEB-7? Cheers, Tobie
