  1. Sunday bump with a price reduction to £1250.
  2. Bump. Still available may be open to offers. Please PM me if interested.
  3. Free bump now I have the Internet.......
  4. It's been a great bass, served me well and had comments on the looks and the tone everywhere I gig. Shame I'm not able to play at the mo otherwise it would be staying. Bump
  5. Price drop to £1100 Up for sale is my magnificent 2003 Modulus VJ4 active bass. It has a 22 fret graphite neck, 1/4" quilt maple top with transluscent red finish, bartolini jazz pickups and has an upgraded preamp to a John East 3 pot 3 band U retro which gives volume, blend, bass, treble, brightness boost, mid frequency / mid control and blendcswitch in active mode plus it has passive bypass which provides volume and pick up selector in passive mode. It will come in a quality hard case. It is a simply superb bass giving amazing sustain and note clarity. It has more punch than a jazz bass and has that lovely crisp tone from a graphite neck. It plays superbly with good low action, very little fret wear having had a recent set up It has a few very minor nicks on it not affecting looks or playability. There is one filled nick on the top side of the neck. A little ding of the phenolic layer over the graphite. It is smooth now and cannot be felt when playing anyway as it is out of the playing position. This was my main gigging bass for a few years but since illness in January I've had to stop playing for a while so such a great and valuable bass needs a new owner. I will send to pretty much anywhere but please check first as postage and insurance prices may be prohibitive. Collection can be arranged from near delamere. I can also meet up within a 50 mile radius from Northwich. Thanks for looking
  6. Sunday morning BUMP
  7. Ooops. Sorry about that..........
  8. Can I BUMP yet?
  9. SOLD NOW........... 2001 Warwick Steamer Stage 1 bought on Basschat from Tonci last year. Set up is reverse precision neck and jazz bridge pickups, MEC 3 band preamp, neck through, Warwick 2 piece bridge, 24 frets, flamed maple body, Bubinga fret board, just a nut adjustable nut and gold hardware. Fished in rare and gorgeous honey violin finish. Gold hardware is tarnished in places and body has 1 or 2 minor dings. Body has also developed a shine rather than the normal satin finish. Recent set up by Ged Green Luthier in Manchester including truss adjustment and fret skim. All in all it is a fantastic bass. Comes in one of my cases not sure which yet. Collection from Stockport or I'll send it anywhere in Europe (additional to bass price) Thanks for looking. PM me if interested
  10. I use a variety of active basses with the Terror 500 and it sounds superb. My fave set up is my Modulus VJ4 with East J retro pre-amp. The combination is trouser flappingly good. I've had to use my Boss sound board to filter out some boominess here and there but it is superb now with my purple chillii 4 x 10. It cuts through the mix with our noisy drummer easily and gives me wonderful tone. I was sold on the Eden tone for years but have given up due to unreliability and with a few bits of Eq filtering I have a similar tone to the prerequisite Eden enhance tone but with a rock solid reliable loud lightweight head. I couldn't ask for more really especially given that I don't fancy lumping all tube heads around.
  11. GLWTS Tonci. Top guy to deal with and entirely trustworthy to buy from.
  12. I'm out - I need an 8 ohm cab. GLWTS,
  13. Hi Are you selling as a rig or will you split it? Was interested in the cab. What impedance is it? Thanks
  14. Hi Are you sure you won't sell the 410 separately? Ta.
  15. Graeme bought my Eden 210 combo. Quick payment, let me know when it had arrived and couldn't ask for more. Thanks.
  16. Hi Did you sell your 410 hydrive cab? If not, how much for the 410 shipped up to sunny manchester? Thanks
  17. Hurray - now with photos. Sorry about the delay..........
  18. Looks like I'm on the right lines with the flexibar exercises. It seems that the slower the exercise is performed, the more effective it is. My tendonitis is getting slightly better so 3 weeks into the twist exercise is maybe too early to judge. The condition seems to take at least 6 weeks and sometimes way longer to sort.
  19. Ah yeah - there is that. The best remedy is to stop playing and give it a rest.
  20. Top tip from Chris B there. Straighten the wrist, increase volume and don't play too hard. My symtpoms developed after playing with a hinged wrist. I have no idea why I was playing like that - maybe I used a different strap and bass was higher up - but I caught a glimpse of my right hand playing position in a mirror and was amazed to see my wrist almost 90 degree hinged. Speaking to a phyio after being diagnosed with tendonitis, the way I was playing stretched the tendon in the forearm and then the repetitive hard picking of the strings put undue tension on the point where the tendon joins the elbow. She also said that once tendonitis is with you then the only way out is to re-programme the muscles in the forearm to aborb the impact of the pmovement of the tendon. That's where I am up to now. Using a thera flexibar 3 times a day with 15 reps to try to build the muscle to stop the impact on the elbow. The only thing is that it still hurts lke mad and isn't really getting anywhere which is why I began the post - to see if anyone knows of a homeopathic remedy to assist.
  21. Yep - the best combo I have owned over my 30 years of playing. Will be sad to see it go - and may keep it if I get permission from the authorising committee - but my new Eden world tour 800 head is truly amazing....
  22. Really - I though comedy sans looked ok. Maybe I'll change it............. Mind you I'm having enough trouble coz I can't get pics uploaded still. As for the cab it just isn't worth the wrath of the boss is it? Hence I'm selling the Genz Benz and my Metro combo - more as a salvage operation.
