  1. Thanks Ray - yes I saw that although don’t need Moog software downloaded. Couldn’t see Sysex on their website but have raised a tech query with them. Meanwhile I might just try the download without a DAW !
  2. Thanks that’s v helpful. No I don’t have a DAW sadly. Yes I wasn’t sure from the instruction sheet whether it could be as simple as just plugging the USB cable from the Phatty to the PC (running the humble Windows 10!). Not bothered about the weird assortment of Moog patches as it’s for bass use but thanks for the warning!
  3. Hi folks, I want to download some sound patches for my Moog Little Phatty, having never done that before, and wondered if anyone could recommend any free Midi software - which I believe I need in order to download said patches. These are said patches from a well respected provider: https://www.synthonia.com/marketplace/moog/little-slim-phatty/moog-little-slim-phatty-funky-leads-basses-detail Any help gratefully received ! David
  4. Glad to hear it was eventually sorted out. Even the Czech built basses are serious money, so you’re right to expect it to be spot on. Do you reckon they stripped the whole thing back and then refinished it?
  5. Thanks @Nice Guy Rich I had the pins/wires removed this week and thankfully they decided it didn’t need opening up and a plate fixing. so the long road of physio lies ahead which it sounds like you’re all too familiar with! That was a nasty injury you had there! meanwhile I’m playing the Moog Little Phatty although the pitch wheel is playing up (note to self - resist touching it). as all my fingers work I’m hoping to get back to bass guitar in a couple of weeks. thanks for thinking of me and I hope the leading goes well 👍🏻👍🏻
  6. ……..and the desk is …..Soundcraft Si Impact (so I am told!).
  7. That was “Praise” by Elevation Worship”. We use “visi listen” for our in ear mixes but I’m not sure what the desk is. One of those fancy digital things anyway !!
  8. So this was today’s set up, as I still have the pins in my left hand where I severely damaged my thumb. Actually quite fun to try and convert bass fills that are second nature on the bass into something similar on the Moog!!
  9. Yes Hiram I think you are right! However this evening Mrs S has decreed that the keyboard looks better across the alcove!! So back to square 1 for bringing my modest collection together! Thanks everyone for your input!!
  10. Very nice - love the block inlays - what is the string spacing and how much does it weigh? thanks
  11. ….and what make of stand please Paul?
  12. Thanks v much - tantalising close - I’ve just measured the space and it’s 109cm/43” ! (almost exactly the length of the Warwick bass pictured) What make is your stand? Any other basschatters out there with these stands?
  13. This is the space!! (Once the nativity goes and the Moog goes back on the shelf!)
  14. Has anyone got one of those stands for holding multiple basses? id like to know how much they raise the bass off the floor - I’ve got an area with limited headroom - a bass standing vertical doesn’t quite fit, but with the slant angle I think it might work? This sort of thing? If you have one, what is the vertical height (floor to top of headstock) ?? - for a typical 34/35” scale bass. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/warwick-rockbag-7-multiple-guitar-rack-stand-f-p-rs20882/7364?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhevc_NC0gwMVBuN3Ch2-rwXnEAQYBCABEgLQufD_BwE Any help appreciated to save ordering and returning!!
  15. Don’t know if this still available but it deserves a Christmas bump for such a lovely Warwick 👍🏻
  16. Yes - every Thursday - invaluable for bonding, learning new material, and honing existing songs. Good also for developing less experienced musicians….
  17. I did !! It’s quite catchy and your newbie on the trumpet did well !!
  18. Had one of these for a while and they are great basses................GLWTS
  19. Thanks for asking - not allowed to drive until 7 Jan, and the physio sheet says "light duties" from 8 weeks and "return to normal duties at 12 weeks" which for me is 3rd Feb. I'll have to ask where playing bass fits into that as the info sheet is for "normal" tendon/bone breaks and minet was a complex fracture needing 4 wires/pins (which come out at 8 weeks) and a bone graft - don't want to take any chances. By the end of it I'll be an expert one-handed Moog player! I literally thank God every day, as it could have been much worse......😱 Meanwhile, I'm wearing this contraption 24/7
  20. …….and in other news a couple of weekends back I nearly severed my left thumb with a mitre/chop saw! Grateful to the hospital surgeons for repairing it. Thankfully other team members are stepping into the breach, and I’ll play the Moog for some of the Christmas “feature” songs (fortunately I’m right handed)!! .
  21. Nice playing Mustafa!! Great bass and nice guy to deal with too. GLWTS.
  22. If this was happening at my church, then I think I would want to take a break/stand back a bit, and if I was in a large enough town/city spend some weeks attending another church to allow myself to gain some sanity and perspective. I see you are in East London, so there should be loads of places to go and get some refreshment? The bottom line is that we are there to offer up our skills and serve, but if the attitudes and approach of others are as toxic as you indicate, I don't see how that can happen without some sort of divine intervention! You clearly feel very passionately about the musical element of worship and so I wonder if there is a leader or leadership team that you can ask to meet to share your frustrations - they might equally want to see what happens change for the better. Thinking of you - if you want to meet up for a chat I'm in London Tues-Thurs for work near Liverpool St Station.
  23. Sounds like a lack of leadership to me. The kind of stuff you mention would just not be accepted at our church. The time for giving people an “opportunity” to learn or hone their skills is the mid week worship team evenings not a public service!
  24. Coincidentally we are just learning this song at the mo so thanks for the play through!!
  25. Lovely, but don’t do it !! If this was 5 string……!!
