Did that at a gig once and some woman pulled my headphone out to tell me something related to some argument she was having with another woman.

I don't think it was a strong on telly as it was in other years, and some acts really weren't great, but there was enough as a viewer at home to see that you probably could like and you can look through them as you choose. It is obviously very different to being there, as there is a lot you won't see when you are at home, which is what makes the festival and there was enough outrage for people in the meaja to rant about for a week until some actual news turns up, so everyone should be happy. And I am happy that after the week, we finally get the A37 past Pilton back!

I saw about 3 minutes of Rod Stewarts set. The pyramid stage, really? Was everyone else busy this year?!

I think pulp did a pretty good set and went down well.

There seem to be quite a few in the crowd on iplayer at the moment, including a big one right in the middle.

Saw the stuff on bbc four or whatever it was - a bit disjointed with not much of many groups. So saw Alanis, which I guess was ok, wasn't that impressed with you ought to know, seemed like she had got over it! I guess ok if you were there. Saw En Vogue - not generally my sort of thing, but very professional and tight, the bass player was great, and there was the funny contrast of 4 black girls on stage, then panning across the most white middle class audience you could possible get anywhere. Then a few individual songs, Yusuf Islam, one song, I didn't know, my wife did, seemed ok. Then biffy clyro, never got them so stopped watching at that point. then went back for the live catchup (which is odd, I guess that makes it not live!), so I could see the glass beams gig which I thought was pretty good Haven't seen any today but going to look if pulp were any good.

Good trade. I have an OLP which I got as I was originally put of stingrays, but still had a hankering for one, and this one came up and it was bright orange so seemed a no brainer. I use it quite a lot, very basic but good fun to play with a neck I can get on with.

Its already refinished, there is no value to lose even if that mattered to him.

I can see the convenience but as you have an actual battery compartment on those, its hardly that much of an issue, it takes less than a minute and it only has to be done every few months.

Indeed, and due to the tollerance of preamp voltage sources, and how batteries maintain their voltage to near the end, thats still the same gig and you should have changed the battery ages ago!

Of course it would, but not sure why that is relevant to the battery voltage? You aren't trying to establish the voltage the preamp needs, I assumed people are trying to put a lot of effort into measuring a battery

Yep, they have switched sockets, there is no power on that.

All my basses are gigged, apart from the ones that need work or a couple of 4 string basses I have. However, not all basses go to all venues, there are some venues where I don't trust the loading and I wouldn't take the rarer ones. There are basses I play more at home than others but that is just based on where they are in the house, or how they sound.

Loosely inserted earplugs fall out. In fact part of the problems with IEMs is them falling out, one of mine always does. And once you have something inears, you would probably want the bass there. If you are getting your IEM feed from the mixer, can't you connect a DI from your bass amp to the mixer? you don't need to put it out through the PA, just there so you can feed it to IEM. As to the ZS10s, I love mine, other people not so keen but it is a good place to start as they are not hugely expensive so you can decide whether you like them or not. Although if you are genuinely going to try the loosely inserted things, maybe not the right choice as I am not sure it would be possible with those - they are reasonably heavy so not fitting them properly will make them just fall out - maybe something like iPhone headphones or something are a better way to go as they don't make a seal

Not really, I just read it as you quoting another manufacturer, and it is actually true what the quote says. Just regardless to that, it is a very good synth, and it doesn't feel restricting at all.

I have never known that, they seem to go down when unused for me Its not an economy I understand - I get a box of 10 batteries off ebay and if I ever measure anything less than 9V I throw the battery out (recycle obvs) and put a new one in, maybe environmentally not as good, but I would never put a known dying battery in a bass for a practice or any other reason, I do have a list of when I last changed them though, there are a few batteries that are several years old. I have a hohner with a red LED for power on.. however, it has no power or circuit board!

Apparently according to the description it has 20 frets. Do they come in a separate bag? If you happen to have another neck, its fine for £1.75!

It seems to have the same logo and switch arrangement as Geezer Butlers Live Aid one (but not the same pickups), I presume coil tap and series / parallel, you should be able to see from the wiring.
