No, $1299 is £1,083.47 + Vat = £1300 - you are actually saving a quid. Its a very good review video though, very comprehensive.
-
reasonably recent - if it is from a big company (thoman etc), you just pay the price you see and everything is like before (except more expensive). If it is from a small company, check first what you pay, if it is a second hand thing from a private indivdual you have to pay the vat yourself

I think there is a lot here that is largely irrelevant to the problem. Although the photo looks wrong, and it seems things are wired wrong, that has nothing to do with the symptoms as described. The OP is not complaining at all about the operation of the volume control, which I assume works fine, volume goes up, volume goes down, they are complaining about the function of the tone, which also puts the volume down when wound down. The only thing that can cause that is to much signal going through the capacitor, being shorted to ground in the tone control. Which means either the capacitor is shorted, or partially resistant, or the pot itself has a short between the case and the track (unlikely).

Wireless IEMs: Xvive U4 & alternatives

I had that, but turned out to be my singing. -
Its hard to work anything out from that picture, but if your volume is working fine, and your tone is doing something but the volume is reduced with the tone down, it generally means your tone cap is acting like a resistor, so is shorting out or something

They were the support at the above gig

We have a friend on FB that does that, she live streams gigs which to me sound like the hight of rudeness if not actually illegal, and she will then post about 150 photos afterwards of the gig, almost all blurry or the wrong angle or the floor ot whatever. She does actually post like that for anything - ie, holiday, 300 photo dump.. here is the beach, here is the beach, here is the beach at an off angle, here is the beach slightly blurry. Dont get it - I generally take one or two photos, just as I use it to remind myself where I was when i am looking back, so that photo above was my only photo at tool, and I can look in my photos and say 'oh yes, 9th May 2022 I went to see tool' as I have a tendency to think things were less time ago!

He certainly also didn't moan about the cameras, he didn't mention them for most of the set, but there were signs when you were walking to the venue (the O2), there were signs when you came in and there were signs all over the auditorium, you couldn't not know. If you used your phone, security would come and have a word, and if you used it after security had a word, security came and took you out. i thought it was handled well. Before the last song, he said you can now use your phones if you wanted to and everyones came out, even I felt compelled to take a picture then, and made you appreciate the time before! I would certainly be happy to pay extra for phone security.

I should investigate the use of mine - I have a b1four and a B3n and have barely used either. Which is odd, I gigged the B3 before it mercilessly

I saw tool last year and it was fantastic, especially as noone was taking photos. you don't realise how good a gig without phones is until you are in the middle of it. Honestly it makes the gig so much better, and it was pretty good to start with.

Is there a more expensive ‘70s Fender available.....anywhere?
Woodinblack replied to MungoBass's topic in Bass Guitars
Basically they are running out of 60s basses so trying to ramp up the prices of 70s ones. -

A speaker doesn't care about stuff like resistance matches, or have any knowledge of it. It is basically down to the power. If you have put more power into the system than it can handle you can obviously destroy it (or even less power but the wrong signal), but it doesn't matter from a speakers point of view if you mix a 4 ohm speaker with a 16 ohm speaker, as long as you are aware that most of the power goes mostly through the 4 ohm speakers. Matching only matters to an amplifier, and generally only a valve amp But as others said - have a look at the cones, if one has a big hole in it, that will be the badger!

And is also his sister-in-law

Edit your first post of your thread (which edits the title) and add the word SOLD to the end of the post, the system will automatically lock it (case isnt important)

I have also had to return with eBay and if you can manage to get through to a person they are good to deal with.
