  1. Keep an eye on musik productiv- they had rootmaster 500 for £250 last week, brand new delivered. over the last year or so they have had some excellent deals on Ashdown gear
  2. Hi guys, quick question, I have a head with one speakon output on it. If I want to connect 2 cabs to it I assume I’ll need a speakon y splitter cable. Is that correct? N.B I have no link options on the cabs cheers, Alex
  3. Sold Rik a pedal. Pleasure to deal with and he let me know the pedal arrived. Thanks
  4. Done a trade with Sam with a halfway meet up. Top guy and super easy to deal with
  5. This looks an interesting offering from Ashdown https://ashdownmusic.com/products/lb-30-2-n Tube amp that doesn’t need to be connected to a cab & has its own speaker emulation built in. I think it may be the best looking head they’ve come up with too.
  6. Bass big muff pi for sale. Loads of info/videos on these. couple of scratches on the paint, but work’s perfectly. velcro on bottom.
  7. No need to apologise - appreciate your help
  8. Thanks for the recommendation, I spotted those and they did look like good value and pretty much what I was expecting in terms of price. Only problem is I wanted angled head at both ends.
  9. Hi Guys I was expecting to be able to get a load of replacement pedal power cables (male - male right angled) easy and cheap. Either I’m searching the wrong thing or these are a little harder to come by than I imagined. For a single cable it’s around £3 - £6. It’s almost worth buying a cheap power supply just for the cables. can anyone recommend any inexpensive sites where I can pick these up? Or is the price ‘the price’! cheers Alex
  10. Ashdown double shot overdrive pedal. pretty much as new (30 mins home use tops). Prefer my jptr fx jive pedal - so this one doesn’t make the board. Not a lot of info online about these online, but here’s Ashdowns video:
  11. Sold Chris a chorus pedal. Fast payment & superb comms throughout. Thanks
  12. Yep it did sound great. First time I’ve heard it through a cab with a tweeter too & the top end sounded great! May end up regretting selling that one! They have such a distinctive sound and are instantly recognisable. I liked to scoop the mids slightly and boost the bass. I’d also knock off a bit of the treble with new strings to get rid of the clank
  13. Lozz just bought my MM Stingray bass. Thoroughly nice chap and a pleasure to deal with. I hope you enjoy the bass.
  14. Yeah, I was really surprised. The stage was completely open though in a field. I’m trying to recall if I’ve ever played a completely open stage before and whether it was the same. The drummer is a reasonably loud hitter too. Maybe it was too hot for him today and he took it easy!
  15. Going back to volume, I played an outdoor gig today with only vocals and kick drum going through the Pa. Barely needed any volume for my 2x15 cabs to keep up. This surprised me, I guess this is due to it being completely out in the open & nothing for the drum sounds to bounce off? im normally around 10 o’clock-ish here’s my settings (input gain about 3 o’clock)
  16. Am I the only one not bothered by the fans 🤷
  17. A few pedals for sale EHX octave multiplexer £45 ammoon nano chorus £15 *SOLD* Spartan music tuner £15 - this tuner is licensed to lots of different companies, so you may see the same tuner with a different maker - it’s the same tuner. all pedals have or have had Velcro on bottom
  18. For sale is my Hartke HA5500. I switched to an Ashdown ABM a couple of years ago & decided to keep this as a backup. Problem is, it’s heavy for a backup - I’d be better of buying a cheaper class d head instead that I can throw in a gig bag. This amp has been well gigged and has plenty of battle scars on the tolex. But the head is good and has never let me down. there’s loads of good features on this head too. Graphic equaliser, tube preamp, compressor, high pass and low pass filter. in terms of the price I really wasn’t sure what it’s worth, but I think £150 ish is probably about right. Or possibly interested in a class d head trade - has to be 500w minimum though. collection only
  19. So after wanting a stingray for many years and finally picking one up last year, I’ve realised I’m not an active bass guy (you live & learn!). Although I was initially blown away by the tone, I soon found myself reaching for my p or j bass instead. This bass has been in its case for months now and is not getting any use hence the sale. The guy who had it before me was a collector and I don’t think it’s had that much use. Certainly is in great condition. after about a week of having it I stupidly managed to chip a bit of paint below the battery compartment (see photo). Other than that it’s great! Collection only.
  20. If you’re using (and overdriving) a tube amp it will naturally compress anyway right? What tube amp are you using & is the extra weight worth it in comparison to Abm?
  21. I’ll give it a try. I presumed it was more for a slap tone - I play fingerstyle
  22. Ah I see, the Spectracomp is integrated into the head on the rh series and it doesn’t look like toneprint is supported with that head. Shame, loads to play with in the TonePrint editor but if it currently does what you want it to do, then no problem anyway
  23. It’s worth checking out. There’s basically a library of pre-made settings from tc artists that you can beam to your pedal - it’s honestly super simple and no tweaking required (unless you want to). Nathan easts compressor settings are good & muscle comp was good too. You can beam the default Spectracomp settings that you’re using now back to the pedal if that’s what you prefer. if you go create your own there’s a huge amount of settings you can tweak - way more than you would see on a compressor pedal.
